Weekly suites
« on: October 07, 2003, 09:55:01 pm »

Well, my wife and I are driving up to New Hampshire from Georgia next week.  Anyone in south New Hampshire know of an extended stay place or suites motel that isn't too expensive?  We're hoping to find, essentially, a motel-type room for ~150 for 3 or 4 weeks while we get situated.

Ideas?  :)

I'm goin Nov 1 to check it out.  Best I could find in southern NH is Extended Stay America in Nashua.  If you find something cheaper in *southern* NH, please post it.  ESA's rates were around $350/wk IIRC.

If you have not found anything give me a call.  603-305-5726  Leave a message and I'll get back to you.  In any case give me a call when you get here.  I'll be glad to show you around and do what I can to help out.

There are a couple local non chain places.  I don't know how nice/bad they are and what the prices are.  I'll check them out and post.

Okay, I'll take a look at that site. :)

Randall/Varrin:

Here are three possibilities close to downtown Manchester.  I looked on Yahoo! maps and they are all within about one mile of each other.  I'm moving to Manchester and am leaving next Saturday (10/18).  I'm planning on staying in the Orange St. apartments during the time I'm getting settled in.  I talked to Tony and he thinks this general area is fine, but he's probably going to check it out this weekend to make sure.

Here is the contact information for these three possibilities:

Furnished Apartments - ORANGE ST, 159. 2 rms, 3rd flr, HT/HW, prkg. No pets. Quiet bldg. $155/wk. Sec dep req'd. 623-6887.
Location: NH Date: 10/5/2003

Furnished Apartments - HARVARD ST. 3 rms, 3rd flr, prkg, sec., refs, $165/wk incl. heat/hotwater. 472-5704
Location: NH Date: 10/11/2003

Furnished Apartments - HANOVER ST (263)
Bed/LR, kitch, bath, utils., prkg., deposit, $190 wk. 434-5272

Let me know what you find out about these places.  Do they come with linens and towels and what not?  (I guess we could afford a set of towels for that price.. LOL).  We have two young kids.  Is the area suitable?? I'd definitely consider something like that if the area is right and the amenities are hotelesque (i.e. *fully* furnished like a suite hotel).  Don't necessarily need maids every day...

There are a lot of housing options in Laconia, NH right now. While they are not weekly suites, all of the summer cottages on the lake are now turning into winter rentals at very cheap rates. Give me a call if you'd like more info on this!! (603)524-7800 x27
