Touring NH for the 2nd time today and tomorrow
« on: July 13, 2015, 11:05:11 am »

Today we are checking out Hanover/Lebanon/Grafton and the Concord area.  Tomorrow is Dover and the surrounding area. Any private, semi-rural areas that are a "don't miss"?

Hey, if I'd seen this earlier, I'd have suggested getting a drink or something while you're in town. (I'm in West Leb.) Actually, almost all of the Upper Valley is semi-rural. We live in a rented house 3 miles from the Dartmouth campus, and we back up onto a couple square miles of conservation land and routinely get woodchucks, toads, deer, salamanders, garter snakes, etc. It's completely private, with the only downside being a 200-yard gravel driveway that we have to pay to plow in winter. Unless you live right in downtown Leb or Hanover or near the shopping centers in West Leb, you'll have a good bit of nature and privacy.
