anyone know of any vacant recreational land?
« on: January 25, 2015, 11:14:25 am »

The bare bones characteristics of my ideal (willing to accept minuses in exchange for pluses), at the moment, would be a very cheap (buy and/or rent or ...) patch of ground big enough and flat/open enough to park a mobile home, rv, and/or highway rig (semi tractor trailer) with an electrical outlet, an outhouse, and sufficient isolation so as to prevent my bad habits from either annoying any neighbors too badly or attracting anyone with easy access to a badge. A "street address" sufficient to satisfy usps and the bureaucrats would be essential. Not absolutely essential that it be in NH (gasp!!!  ;D) as long as it is readily divestible (is that a word?) at not too much of a monetary loss. A lot to ask, I know. I am willing to adjust my desires as required by reality.

Thanks for reading.

Rare indeed seem those who would rather the lash were banished utterly from human interaction save in defense of self and property
than the haft thereof find on convenient occasion its lawful place nestled comfortably in their own grasp.

There might be something like that in Grafton. I recommend either attending the next Porcupine Freedom Festival and talking to people at the Grafton Information Tent or just go to the next Burning Porcupine Festival in Grafton. Here is more information on both events.

Thanks for the links.

Do you know of a website or forum, or any individual who might be willing to correspond directly, so I could do a bit of research ahead of time?

Whoops. Looks like burning porcupine is. Thanks again. But still open to alternatives.

The folks in Grafton mostly hung out at http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php,  but it;s pretty quiet there now since most of them switched to Fedbook.

If you are looking for land your best bet is Mark Warden at http://porcupinerealestate.com/

There are guided tours of Grafton during Burning Porcupine.  Come for the week and look the town over.  Free camping and no registration fee.  Double your money back if not satisfied.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I appreciate.

I also need to be sure that, if it breaks, I get to keep both pieces.

many camps like that in Grafton.
You see all sorts of places that people only come to in the summer and such.
I remember a bunch of those on the road to visit my friend Jerry. :)

Promising.  Thank you.  Can you think of and, hopefully, share any ideas about how I might check out a few of these while remaining several hundred miles away?

It's hard for me to see this being of any interest to a real estate agent at the price I want to pay.
