Accountant/CPA Job Market
« on: June 05, 2013, 12:24:05 am »

Hey everyone, I recently graduated with my degree in Accounting and I've started working. Can anyone tell me what the job market is like for accountants/CPAs in New Hampshire? I plan to become licensed as a CPA in California before I make the move. I know Boston has a high demand, like most major US cities, but I'm not really interested in commuting to Boston, or having to pay state income tax. Which cities in NH should I focus my search? Should I expect a pay cut?

Trying to make the move as fast as possibly, within reason.

I don't know but keep in mind that income taxes are less than half as much in MA as opposed to CA. And as for working in MA, 100,000s of people live in the 35 miles b/t the NH border and Boston so there are obviously lots of jobs in nothern MA. Plus, people make more money in MA than CA.

In other words, switching from CA to MA is likely a pay raise, and especially if you live in NH, it is an expenses cut.
