Help finding an apartment in the SW
« on: February 14, 2013, 06:51:07 pm »

I currently live in Massachusetts and work in the Springfield area.  I'm looking to relocate to NH and take part in the FSP but am having a lot of trouble finding an apartment in the SW area of the state below Keene.  Ideally I'd like to live just over the border because of the long commute.   I'm worried that I'll have to move to VT and eventually relocate to NH.  I am a young professional and graduate student in my early 30's, would be living alone (don't need a lot of space), and have great references and a very secure job.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm looking to spend maximum of $850.

I'd also be willing to consider a roommate situation with the right person.

You might be able to rent a house in Hinsdale or Winchester, NH for that amount of money. You could at least get a trailer at a park (and pay the park fees and property taxes, likely) for that kinda money. I recommend looking into the parks in those towns. Maybe Richmond too, if it has parks.

See my sig file for the FSP resource on housing.
