Minimum of 5 years work experience. Company is adding a 2nd shift to our small machining group with the objective to reduce lead times for service part orders. We need very experienced machinists who can take a blue print and a piece of raw material (mostly low grade steel, some stainless, aluminum and brass also) and machine a part to very tight tolerances. Company is not looking for a machine operator. Good candidates typically have 10 or more year's experience, but we may consider someone with less experience (min. of 5 yrs.) with 2 year voc/tech school but has learning ability and drive. The work is low volume parts machining. So, they may be working on different parts every day. Individuals will originally train on first shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) for 6 - 8 weeks and then move to 2nd shift. Individuals need to have the knowledge and experience level to receive work orders at the beginning of shift and work independently during shift.
