A bit of advice for a Floridian, if you please.
« on: February 12, 2010, 10:21:03 pm »

As the title said, I'm from Florida, and I am sort of interested in this whole FSP thing.  The biggest thing for me, though, is would I be able to find a job.  How is the market looking up there?  Would a student with currently nothing more than two years experience and a High School Diploma be able to find a job doing Help Desk or Computer Repair?  Down here not only can I not find a job in the computer industry, I can't find a job as a cashier in a gas station somewhere.  :(  So, my two questions are how is the job market there looking and how much does lodging somewhere cost?

Newbishly yours,

welcome,

the unemployment (official) is about 6.5% lower than most places.

You should be able to get 'some kind' of an entry level job while you look for another job.
Check out porcmanor.com for cheaper housing options.
