I believe I may have solved the mystery.  I found the article that I believe was my first introduction to the FSP.  I signed up for this forum withing 48 hours of finding that article.  I think I found the article by googling "libertarian" or searching for "libertarian" somehow.

I learned during a meeting with my county Libertarian Party when I was active with them. I forget who brought it up or why, but I've discussed moving to NH with some other small-government people and most know about it, at least superficially. So, the word is spreading. I know I told everyone in my old college Libertarian group about it.

That's great Ad!  Thanks for getting the word out!

I heard about the FSP years ago, when it made news for selecting NH as the state they were going to move to.  Just a blip on my radar till I found a link leading here from this site: http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/

I originally heard of FSP on a show that used to be on BlogTalkRadio. They mentioned it quite a while back and I searched up the site several times but never joined the forums. Few months after that I finally joined the forums and I have been off and on since. I think I am just nervous so I keep going back into hiding.

I remember hearing about FSP on that same radio show Chaos!

Those were good times.  I miss that show, a lot.  I've never thought so much in my life and yet felt so motivated to do something.

Welcome Organized Chaos.  The next time you think you're nervous, equate it with excitment, and enjoy yourself :) (!).

Next time you're nervous... think about the fact that if you do nothing, your children WILL live in a nationalist-socialist America.
Then use your nervous energy to make a plan to move to NH... ASAP!

Not to throw a wrench in things or be a downer but I am childless and will remain so. I might consider adoption at some point but I am unsure.

I guess it's my social nervousness, being in a new place makes me panic a bit. I have a hard enough time fitting in where I am.

It's easier to fit in when you already have something in common.  Free Staters are very social so you will meet lots of people.  All of them will be different, but they will all love liberty.

Aw hell, if that's all it is, you owe it to yourself to get up here for PorcFest.
You can always retreat back to your camper, tent, or motel room if the crazy liberty-loving people get to you.... that's what I do ;)

Yeah when I came back and saw how soon Porcfest was I was cursing at myself for not hitting this site up regularly. I would love to go, but no way to get there and no where to stay.

Accomidations at Rogers are pretty cheap.  They have a motel if you don't want to camp.

Also, if you want to keep up with the goings on of the FSP, you can sign up and then you'll get our monthly e-newsletter if you so choose. You can sign up as a participant if you're ready to commit. If you're not ready to commit, sign up as a friend.

I first heard/read about the Free State Project on the website for Glenn Becks 9/12 Project.  It was a forum kinda thing, and I can't remember what the initial post/thread was about, but there was one gal who posted a link to FSPs website after saying something like "WOW! These folks are serious!" ;D lol

I saw the words "Free State Project" in the link, and I thought "...hmmm".  I just had to check it out. So I did. And now here I am - collecting info, and seriously considering making the committment to move to NH :)
