Magic: The Gathering
« on: February 05, 2009, 11:29:48 pm »

Before moving to NH, I would gather with a group of good friends for Magic games on Monday.  If sufficient interest exists, I would like to recreate the tradition.  I am looking for a heads up of those who would be interested in playing Magic: The Gathering in or around Manchester.  Beware my Elemental deck.

My best friend and I were HUGE into MtG in college. We went to some regional tourneys and got stomped but had a ton of fun.

I had thousands of cards, scores and scores of deck and even at one point a fledgling eBay business selling and trading cards. :)

Then my friend was killed in a car accident and he happened to have all of my cards. I couldn't bring myself to ask his brother for mine back. I haven't played since.

When I'm there, I'd definitly be interested in at least casual play. When are you looking to move?

Perhaps my phraseology caused a misunderstanding.  I live in Manchester now.

I got 4-5 decks in my car. Might be interested in getting some games together for fun since I don't ever plane on buying more cards.

I left approximately 100,000 MTG cards back in California (no, really!).

I still have my Harry Potter cards, if anyone would like to play that game.  :)

If you want to play Harry Potter, I’m not going to stop you.  I’m just looking for around 5-8 Magic players to start up a weekly thing in Manchester.
Arguments aside, have the post office ship them out.  Let's play.

I used to play Paper Crack, aka MTG.  In fact, I have a box full of the stuff here, and another good sized box of older stuff in a closet in NY.

While I'd like to play, the fear of starting up the addiction, combined with a serious lack of free time, I'd respectful decline.

That said, you might want to join the Gamey Porcupines yahoo group.

Low traffic, but a good targeted group of NH folks who like to play games.

Thanks for the link Seth.  Cardboard crack is good for you.

Many of the people who moved don't hit this forum as much as those other ones.
