Libertarians near Keene, NH
« on: November 17, 2006, 06:49:19 pm »

Hi, my name is Zack Davis. My fiance and I just moved to NH and we're interested in meeting liberty-oriented people. I haven't met any Libertarians yet but I thought looking online would increase my chances. Does anybody here live near Keene, NH?

Keene is one of the centers of activity for a fair number of FSP early movers.  Many of them hang at nhfree.com more than here.

Zack,

Check the two NH liberty calendars - go to any of the events, esp. the Porcupine/FSP meetings, etc.

Just in case... Have you signed up for the FSP & for the First 1000? :) Always nice to see that "in NH" number tick up.

There are quite a few of us in and around Keene. You should check out the Tuesday meetings at Panera Bread, 7 PM. There is a lot to do around here.

Also, as mentioned above check out NHFree.com when it's back up.

NHFree.com is working fine at this point.  I didn't know it was down, as I was out all day.  I'm not sure what went wrong.

Anyway, congrats on choosing Keene, Zack.  As you already know it's a beautiful area, and there are a lot of Liberty oriented activists around here.  There's a Keene specific forum on NHFree here:  http://forum.soulawakenings.com/index.php?board=13.0

In fact, Keene is the only area of NH with its own Liberty oriented newspaper, TV show, and radio show.  The fun has just gotten started!

In addition to the Tue night weekly meetings, here are some other recurring events of interest:

IRS Protest every Thursday:
http://forum.soulawakenings.com/index.php?topic=4973.0

Monadnock Porcupines monthly meeting:
http://forum.soulawakenings.com/index.php?topic=325.0

Looking forward to meeting you and your fiance.

Welcome to the area. My family moved to the Keene area earlier this year, and so far it was the best decision we ever made. Everyone is very helpful and kind. And the spirit of liberty is really strong here, everyone is active doing something. Hope to meet you at a Panera bread meeting soon.

I'm from the Keene area. I have two pre free state friend who are libs, although one is deployed overseas at the moment. I know other non free staters who are starting to warm to libertarian though.

Plus there are a ton of Porcs in the area. This is the place to be. Merrimack is a close second but they do a lot more debating and that kind of stuff than we do in Keene. Jim could always use help on his house if you're in the area. Check the calander for more info.

Keene is the city I want to visit for sure, but heck, I'd love to visit the entire place during my Spring Break vacation (March 9 - 18).
