Title: Looking for a licensed electrician to work under for an apprenticeship
Post by: Futurehold on July 15, 2014, 11:00:02 pm
I've come to find that in order to start an electrician apprenticeship program on time, I will have to move a lot sooner than I thought I would be. Is there anybody who is, works for, or knows of an licensed electrician I could speak to? I need to be working under a licensed electrician in order to enroll in an apprenticeship program so that I may take classes and progress in my education and training.

I want to move to New Hampshire, but I need to be able to start my life from the get-go as soon as I arrive. Otherwise, I might have to delay my move. I don't wish to be stuck here in Illinois any longer than I have to.

Thank you.

I'm curious as well.  I plan on entering the electrician field so if anyone is or knows a master electrician who will take on an apprentice, I'd love to speak with them!

Hey, just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention again.  I'm still looking for an apprenticeship and would love to work for a reputable electrician to begin working for.  I'm currently in Manchester working on getting HVAC training and OSHA certification.  I'm willing to move anywhere in the state.

I can't think of a single electrician in the community, unfortunately... I will ask around a bit.

How about an unlicensed electrician? Would that be OK? I know 2. They may even have a license. Does this apprenticeship expect pay? Or is it like the guild journeymen where you are basically a slave?
