Post by: freedomroad on May 05, 2011, 02:03:48 pm
The bare bones NEW moving guide: The guides aren't as detailed but look better. Here you go. http://freestateproject.org/resources

The MUCH more detailed older moving guide: See it here, http://old.freestateproject.org/moving_guide

Looking for housing options in NH, this a place to look, http://old.freestateproject.org/nhinfo/Housing.php

I've made a couple dozen minor updates throughout the Moving Guide.  It is pretty up to date now.

We are expanding our "Welcome Wagon" network, leading to more referrals and roommate situations, along with locating people in liberty hotbed areas.

I took a quick look at the guide, thanks. In terms of making a trial run flight to NH to test the employment waters, what is a good time in Spring to go, when most of the snow has melted? :)

Hello, this link is broken. I tried to find it from the revenue home page and failed. Does anyone have the link? Or did they just take it down?

Thanks very much. Do you know what these "rates" are in terms of?

Try removing the . and adding a $ and ,

CROYDON is 12.64 = $1,264 per $100,000 of value

That's a rough estimate because the town likely isn't billing people are what property is actually worth. Also, you have to add on the village taxes from the village tax page. Croydon doesn't have a village tax district so for this town, that isn't an issue. Towns are allowed to give certain classes of people tax credits. There are likely other factors I left off. I recommend renting for 6 to 18 months. See a professional such as http://porcupinerealestate.com/ for better advice.
