Title: I took the plunge! (signed up)
Post by: RidleyReport on November 03, 2002, 09:06:51 am
I'm leery of making commitments I'm not sure I can keep, so I didn't sign our letter of intent until yesterday.  But I can't imagine missing all the fun....thus I can't see a reason not to make the promise!

Hope all you prospective members will consider doin' the same once you think you're able to deliver!

We shouldn't let this die! Each time someone signs up, they should announce it here in celebration!

I signed up on Sept 23 but have just recently joined the forum. I found out about FSP at my local Libertarian Party meeting - that night I checked it out and printed out the sign up form. From that point on, I'd check back on membership at least once a week, all the while meaning to fill out the form and send it in. This sort of decision didn't take much time for me at all :) THEN! The wonderful guys working on the webpage put the signup thing right on the page and there was no excuse anymore! I just did it online!

Anyway ... this is exciting :) I'm glad to be a part of something as bold and daring as this.

I think a lot more people will start signing up once a state is chosen. I know of a handful of people that are holding off on signing up to make sure they are fine with the state picked.

Ok Ill check in here too.  I signed on at the end of October after reading Tim Condons totally clear Whats Important in the State Chosen.

Up until that point I was having a hard time with all the details that were being considered in the selection.  Nice to know but of little consequence to our success?

Im disappointed to hear remarks pushing ones own state, for even though I know my own state is small enough and low in growth to succeed, it does not offer us the best chance at success.

I hope we see that sometimes the least "attractive" place can be the easiest for us ?

Well I signed up last the other day.  Skippin around checking things out to see what type of people are in here.  Seems all types some religous and some libs.  and some other who are just tired of being over taxed and all.  I had to sign up since i live in Ca.  sounds like a good excuse to get out of the socialist republic.  Greg

I'm going to have to wait and see how the stock market goes.  I could never spend a winter in icy weather but if the market goes up I may sell my home here and get a condo and then do the same where ever FSP goes.

Most of my neighbors here are snow birds and having established residences in two states they can register to vote in either place.

I see no reason why I couldn't do this too.  My main problem is my ancient dog.  I can't move her again, the last move took too much from her strength (mine too).

I have posted the URL for this site all over the internet and some people are actually considering the move.

I will when I can!!!

Hello, I just signed up today and I am really excited about this project.  :D

I live in Texas and have two children which I home-school.

Just out of curiosity...
Where does the FSP stand on the subject of Home-Schooling?

I've read a lot ot the posts in this forum and I am intrigued to say the least.. :)

Thank you,
Kiramaya

Homeschooling and private schooling are both viewed quite favorably around here, and education reform in general is brought up quite often.  I believe this will be a top priority area for most Porcupines.

And welcome.   :)

Hello All,

After 2 months of thinking about it, I signed up today.  I truly believe this could work, and look forward to being involved as much as possible.

Look forward to talking to and meeting all of you!
