Title: 5G in Keene? Smart meters banned?
Post by: Jerry B on November 30, 2019, 10:12:00 am
Does anybody know about whether they have 5G technology installed in Keene or the greater Keene area? I've read several items about how that could be affecting people's health, as well as general wifi. Supposedly , the NE Patriots are having issues with people getting sick (https://www.activistpost.com/2019/11/patriots-captain-has-never-seen-so-much-illness-among-players-could-it-be-from-verizon-operating-5g-at-their-stadium.html), like the flu or "flu-like illnesses," that's the most recent thing. Tom Brady is rearranging his home to not have cell phones or wifi in his bedroom (https://www.activistpost.com/2019/02/super-bowl-winning-quarterback-tom-brady-avoids-fluoridated-water-gmo-foods-and-keeps-cell-phones-out-of-his-bedroom.html). (I still haven't made my move - still in the Boston area, and hope to make my move to Keene or Swanzey in the next year.)

And related to that, what about "Smart" meters? Some communities have banned those. Is Keene one of those communities?

I haven’t seen any 5g in Keene...yet. I heard they just started installing it in Salem NH.

Check out Curtis stone. He is waking up to the whole 5g/EMF issues and has some good info on it.

This is the EMF proofing paint he talks about.

Any yes. There are smart meters. They are fairly easy to contain though.

Thanks for the info. I found this recent article on moves to get 5G in Keene. https://www.govtech.com/network/Keene-NH-Looks-Toward-a-Future-with-5G-But-When.html But it Doesn't mention health concerns.

However, this subsequent article (https://www.govtech.com/network/New-Hampshire-City-Begins-Preparations-for-5G-Future.html) says that Keene bureaucrats are actively beginning the process to bring 5G to Keene. And it does include mention of health concerns:

Quote
Councilor Terry M. Clark, who isn’t a committee member, expressed concerns about potential health risks of implementing 5G. He argued that the technology’s high-frequency electromagnetic fields with short wavelengths could be harmful, causing effects such as “a burning sensation” on the skin and infertility in bees and other animals.

“I’m not trying to say that the sky is falling or anything like that,” Clark said, “but this is a brand new technology that we’re using for cellphones and that we’re putting up to our ears.”

Because the waves from small cells don’t travel as far as current cell towers, a network would require more to be installed in greater density, which Clark said is alarming. While acknowledging the benefits of high-speed Internet access, he urged his colleagues to research the potential health risks before their next meeting.

High-frequency fields can cause vibration of charged or polar molecules in the body, resulting in friction and heat, according to the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, which has developed exposure guidelines used by governments around the world. The body can accommodate a small increase in heat, the commission’s website says, similar to what happens when playing a sport.

Nodding to the considerable research that’s been done on the relationship between high-frequency fields and health outcomes, the commission writes that “this research to date has not shown any such health effects.”

Bobby Williams, a councilor-elect for Ward 2, offered a few thoughts on the draft ordinance, including a second to Clark’s public health concerns.

Later in the meeting, City Attorney Thomas P. Mullins cautioned the committee not to stray too far into the health questions of radio frequencies — the city has to be careful to stick to what’s allowed under the FCC order, he said, adding that city staff doesn’t have medical expertise.

Unfortunately the reality is 5G is going to be everywhere. Except west palm beach and Israel. Any guesses why?  ;) we in the rural areas (not Keene) might not get cell towers every 15 feet, we will get the satellite side of the service.  Remember when they made fun of the people that will be wearing tinfoil hats one day. Those would be us.

The 5G movement is in full swing. Under the guise of bringing (fiber) “broadband” to the rural areas. They are not saying 5g. But fiber is the backbone of 5g

I'm glad there are some people in Keene taking the time to address the concern for 5G's possible health effects. I do have an old cell phone which I hardly use, and am still a land line user. I don't have any wireless gadgets, except for my desktop computer that has wireless capability but I have it turned off. I think that the more of wireless tech people have in their actual home (such as all the "smart" appliances, "smart" TV, etc.) the more of a health concern they should have. That's my view on that.

Jon Rappoport's fascinating article on 5G relates 5G with the China epidemic. One group of many scientists has a petition to stop 5G, citing studies showing the adverse health effects of radio frequency radiation. 5G signals travel in short distances, and therefore many, many relay stations will be placed on structures all over the neighborhoods, street signs, light poles, etc. And Rappoport is suggesting a relationship between the sicknesses and 5G. He goes on about how far 5G might go, as well as regarding the health effects.

First of all: there are many, far more dangerous things to worry about.

However, we need to stop mixing apples and oranges, and bananas.

The dangers of RF are in 2 categories: Damage that heals after exposure, and damage that accumulates over time with exposure. (A third type is instant irreparable damage or death)

5G is barely viable at this point, and only working in a few markets; and currently in one frequency band. The band in use, was TV until recently. Stations transmit at power levels effectively as high as a million watts. Cell sites aren't even in the same ballpark. They are using existing sites and upgrading equipment. If that RF spectrum was dangerous, we'd have evidence near TV towers. Myself and thousands of others, go to those sites several times weekly, without symptoms.

The other bands being utilized are much higher frequency, and implementation has all but failed, so far. It can't penetrate walls and bounces off some materials causing major interference issues. The solution is to use much lower power and put nodes on every pole and corner of every building. That, isn't going well.
It is also apparent, that the FCC wants to free up C-band satellite spectrum. (to sell) Yes, at high power levels, some of that is nasty and can instantly cook eyes and testicles.
