Homeschool law considerations
« on: August 13, 2003, 07:40:48 am »

After closely examining the homeschool laws of all ten candidate states, we are VERY clear on our choice of states. We have COMPLETELY ruled out all Eastern seaboard states (we opted out of those from the beginning, and their homeschool laws support us on this. We have worked long and hard in Wisconsin to have an exemplary set of homeschool laws and don't want to move to another state where that will have to be done). After those are eliminated, based on homeschool law as criteria alone, Idaho leads the pack, followed by Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska. North and South Dakota are states we will only move to because we didn't include them in our opt out. Their legislation will increase enforcement on our homeschool, and we will make campaigning for those changes our first priority.
