Doug went on a bit of an anti-government rant, professed to be a libertarian without knowing a lot of politics, but no FSP plug! Bad Doug! Bad! Hopefully he'll recruit Dennis.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dave. Â Stanhope was hilarious, and did a great job. Â He said he was a libertarian, and he explained perfectly why the government shouldn't be involved in marriage. Â Oh, and then he told Miller he used drugs socially and had never had a problem -- the reason we have a drug problem in this country is because my generation is so BORING! Not bad for five quick minutes. Get him to PorcFest... I'd laugh all week. Â

Roger that Rocketman!
Doug will be in Montreal on July 24th, and said if his schedule permits he might try to swing by the Fest for a couple days.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dave.  Stanhope was hilarious, and did a great job.  He said he was a libertarian, and he explained perfectly why the government shouldn't be involved in marriage.  It is great to have a libertarian interview a libertarian on the national news. I recently rented Doug Stanhope's deadbeat hero. I loved the video and showed it to two other people.

Dennis self identifies as "libertarian on most issues, except the war on terrorism and Iraq"

Plus Dennis Miller has made comments before on how we always need taxes and that he'd accept the income tax going down to around 40% and thats it. he sucks egss as libertarian if you ask me.

I loved Denny on Monday Night Football, and so did five or ten other people in the world, but I'd call the SOB a neocon before I'd call him a libertarian.
