Thanks to your help, Free Talk Live is now the #2 podcast in the world. We are now targeting the #1 show on the list, Dawn and Drew. They have a large lead because they have been podcasting for months longer than FTL and because of the press coverage they have received from being #1. Free Talk Live being #1 can mean more press coverage for the FSP, and more members for the FSP. We can and will overtake them. All you have to do is vote. Vote as often as possible (but no more than once every 24 hours). If you have never voted before, it's oh so easy, and so fast. 1. Go to Podcast Alley. 2. Click "vote". A new window will open. 3. Enter your email address. Ensure the rating is "Awesome (5)" 4. Click "Vote Now". The system will send you a verification email. 5. Open the email, click the verification link. You're done! If you'd like, leave a comment at Podcast Alley. While it looks like FTL will need a lot of votes to surpass the #1 show, we'll actually need less than the diffrence between the two shows, because their star rating is lower! If you've listened to their show and don't like it, go ahead and vote them one star. If you like it, maybe you could just leave them a nice comment instead of voting for them. You people are unbelievable. I just dropped in to let you know that this idea may backfire - I'm going to use my 3 email addresses to vote D&D up, and you down. Hopefully all the DND fans do the same.

Maybe it would be fair for you to promote the PodcastAlley voting only on your site, not in this forum? It is fully reasonable for people who already listen to your show to vote for it. To be fair, all you should publish here is the FTL URL. At least you could make a pretense of asking us to listen.  How is what you are doing there any different from trolls causing disruption here? |

Are you suggesting I'm trolling Podcast Alley? If so, I'd like to see evidence. The reason why I'm not posting a link to my site is because it easier just to have people click one link, not two. That said, here's a NEW link for you guys: http://www.podtower.com/showpodcast.php?pid=1This is a brand new site with a brand new voting system. The rules are different, and much simpler: 1. You must be a registered user to vote. Registration is free. 2. Each user can only vote once per podcast per month. We need at least 50 votes to get into the top 5, so please go register and vote us a 10! When we reach the top of Podtower, there will be no disputing that Free Talk Live is the #1 podcast in the world. Thanks! |

The FSP funds FTL. FTL serves as a vital recruiting method for the FSP. If making FTL the #1 podcast will garner additional listeners and thereby additional members, then voting as much as we can is a cheap, quick, and effective method of activism. So long as FTL retains such a helpful relationship with the FSP, we should be doing what we can to make sure it succeeds. |

I never said what I thought was dirty. It's only when the above quote is combined with this that your dirty intentions become obvious: If you like it, maybe you could just leave them a nice comment instead of voting for them. I have one final thing to add. Being #2 on Podcast Alley only makes you #2 on that site. If / when the media finds a more reliable way of rating podcasts, you'll have to start all over again. |

My intentions are to be number one. Most of the people here want us to be number one. It was a simple reminder that voting positively for DND would be detrimental to our goal. No one has been told what to do.
Also, if the voting system was monthly, none of this would be necessary, as we would already be number one. We're simply trying to overcome the 4 month lead they have had to gather votes. Podcast Alley's voting system is highly biased towards DND as they have been doing it longest.
Thanks for the input. I'm paying attention to what the media is watching. We're now up on the newest Podcast voting site where the rules are more fair to everyone, and we plan on winning there as well.
