There have been no 15 year olds so far.  There have been plenty of 18-25 year olds there.  I figure that if you have your parents permission to attend, there is no reason for you not to attend.

Are you in Los Angeles?  Our next meeting is going to be in Culver City.

Yea, I live right around the Los Angeles area.

A little bit to the north, in Burbank.

I'm thinking about maybe attending.
When is the next meeting?  (the last one posted here is for September, 2004)

Hopefully you adults have no problem carrying on conversation with a minor.  Wink

I've gotten pretty used to talking to adults myself, as most high schoolers could care less about politics.

It seems the only way I can get their ears to perk up is when I mention legalizing drugs.  Roll Eyes

hey,

just wanted to know if you were still holding meetings in southern california.  i would like to get an idea of the people considering the move to new hampshire: planning on living in a car and staging protests, get a job and attend town meetings, move your existing business and vote libertarian, etc...

i am currently serving active duty in the military and stationed in north carolina.  however, i won't be out for another year and a half.  i do plan on starting a business, a weight lifting gym at this point, when i get out; be it in bakersfield or new hampshire if i decide to make the move.

how 'bout yourselves?

I was searching for a Gym in NH... I think there may be room for one.  You might even be able to find some porcs to invest if you have  a good business plan.  Come to NH...

Hi
I might be interested in your gym investment.

Do you have an idea what part of NH you might be locating it.  I am not so much interested in how detailed your business plan is - but what experience do have.

You can talk to me off line or just post it.

i appreciate the offer but at this time i am planning on funding the venture on my own.  i was just curious about what the others were planning to do when they got there, if there are still local group meetings or possibly a forum where californians discuss their ideas for the move.

I can't  help you with what you are looking for.  If we had a network set up, a clearing house in this forum or on the FSP web site or some format,  you could submit your question and get an answer.

PC,

There is a section on the forum for asking these questions.. I agree that we need to set up some networking... but what exactly are you looking for?

Howdy SoCal Porcupines,

The Second Amendment Foundation is hosting the 20th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference at the Los Angeles LAX Marriott Sept. 23 - 25. This conference takes place in a different state each year, so this will be your only chance to hit up this particular group of gun nuts with FSP literature. The conference will feature appearances by National Rifle Association President Sandra Froman, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne La Pierre, Second Amendment Foundation President (SAF) Joe Tartaro and Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA). On Saturday there's a luncheon at which Larry Elder will speak; and get this... it's all FREE (yes, there is such a thing as a free lunch!  Cheesy )! The event is co-sponsored by SAF and CCRKBA, with support from other organizations.

Is anyone available to attend, either to help man a table or just to hand out some fliers? Please let me know. Thanks!  Smiley

OK, thanks, Mark.  FYI, the SoCal group is having a meeting on Oct. 1; be sure to check your Yahoo group for details, if you haven't already done so.  Smiley

Welcome, bankysb!

I think they do have sporadic meetings.  I would post a note to the list, and ask them.  They are the single largest local group in the "other 49" - lots of great potential there.
