Yes, we need to be all over this. This sounds like a good lead for a shadow ad and the timing is great.
Just my 2 grains.

Actually, now that I think about it, this doesn't really have the "big brother" feel to it that the other one had. Sure, it is a tremendous violation of privacy, but it was done by one or two employees, not by the police.

Even if it was a single government employee, it is "big brother".... And it was two male police officers who brought the girls into a closet, and ordered the search.
"After a student, who is believed to be a female, claimed $27 had been stolen during the gym class, Mr. Dusendschine said his daughter, who is a junior, and five other girls in the class were ordered into a closet by Mount Carmel Township Chief of Police Donald Geary and Cpl. Brian Hollenbush"
This is in PA, and I have sent an e-mail to our local group there asking for media info.
The FSP will match up to $500 in donations.
Who wants to kick in for raising funds?

If it was a government school, that should be our angle. (IMHO)

Oh, this WAS done by the police! Okay, then! We need to be all over this! Money? What's that? Maybe I can scrounge up some change even though we're in the middle of our move to New Hampshire right now. I'll get back to you soon on that.

I don't want to go ahead until we know for sure that the government was involved. We need to confirm that it was either a government school or a government (not private) police officer involved. If not, we'll look rather foolish.

Mr. Dusendschine said his daughter, who is a junior, and five other girls in the class were ordered into a closet by Mount Carmel Township Chief of Police Donald Geary and Cpl. Brian Hollenbush, who were serving as school resource officers at the time. (From a link in the other thread on this subject) Apparently, the police were involved. The incident in Waxahachie involved strip searching JUNIOR high students! Parents pulled their kids out of the school after the incident and are now homeschooling.

Sure, it is a tremendous violation of privacy, but it was done by one or two employees, not by the police. Well, still, we didn't get here overnight. It's not like those employees suddenly got it into their heads to do this on their own. They were CHUST FOLLOWING ORDERS...
