I don't know. It just seems that this board doesn't have the critical mass of people needed to keep anything going for long.

Yeah... No joke. Dang! We should go out and recruit some kids to come join the FSP.
It also seems like this thread is sort of fizzled out in terms of new ideas. Lots of ideas have been kicked around, and there don't seem to be any new ones.
Hmm.

As the moderator, I read every post, and, refrain from responding, but, more and more it occurs to me that, because many of you can't actually join the FSP, due to your age, you are, more or less, second class citizens of this organization.
Why don't you organize a youth branch of the FSP?
While in the anti-draft movement in the early 1980's I worked with several teenagers from the local Unitarian Meeting House who were in an organization called Liberal Religous Youth. They were activist who communicated ( then, snail mail) with and met, occaisionally with other members. They would also come from all over (New England, I guess) and spend a weekend camping and socializing at one of the meeting houses, taking turns. Of course they had the structure of the Unitarian Church in which to organize. Today, you have the internet and forums, like this in which to form such an organization. Just an idea I had and I am not promoting religion of any kind, I am just using the above as a model. Lloyd

A wonderfully good idea. Now the question is how to carry it out. We could figure something out.
But yeah, I have heard of a lot of organizations like you described. Why couldn't we apply the FSP to something like that?
I don't know.... I'll have to do some logistics work.
