Well, I really wanted to attend this festival and get to know some of the people here, but unfortunately it's graduation weekend and I won't be able to make it. Embarrassed

Will just have to look forward to the next one. Wink

No costs per say! Smiley

Last year Rogers charged $5 per person for folks who attended the conference, but were not staying at the facilities.  My thought is to try and get that waived, since so many of us will be staying there, and they ran out of rooms.  More on that once I talk to Deb, at Rodgers.

The food committee is due to give us numbers, and a menu for the meal, on June 1, so will let you know when we know.

Actually it was $3.00, and Deb agreed to the same rate again for this year. This fee is paid only by day guests who are not paying overnight customers of Rogers campground or motel.

I don't see any harm in asking about it again if you want to. Their guest fee is normally $5.00 but they discount it to $3.00 for large groups. Personally I think the idea of a guest fee is quite reasonable; guests make the place crowded, take up parking spaces, use the bathrooms, etc. Technically, the guest fee also includes the use of all facilities such as the pools and hot tubs.

Seeing as relatively few attendees will be staying off-premises, the effect of this fee will be minimal. But as I said, it cannot hurt to ask. And if the answer is "no", we should probably do a better job of letting all of the off-premises lodgers know about it ahead of time.

You mean that everday that the 2 of us want to come hangout, we have to pay six bucks? We were thinking about the whole week, but this may change our plans.

Scenic Plymouth is located approximately forty minutes south of Lancaster, where FSP members from around the nation will be encamped.

According to Yahoo Maps Driving Directions it is aprox. 1 & 1/2 hours from Lancaster to Plymouth.  61 miles.

Don't be silly... I'm an old fart. My hike with Hardy last year almost killed me! Ask him if you don't believe me.  Grin

It was the lightning that almost killed us! I'm looking forward to the Mt. Liberty hike.

Hi Cathleen,

Please forgive the delay.  I talked to Tracy, daughter of the manager of Rogers, Deb today.  Deb was in a meeting.   Asked if they would consider waving the cost to porcs.   Gave them my best lala!  Anyway she said Deb would need to talk to the owners re this and get back to us.  Will let you know when I get a response.  Do you have children?  If they won't wave it maybe I can get them to do it for the kids.  What they layed on me was something about liability...dam lawyers!

In any case our current numbers at Rogers re Fest:  4 house keeping units, (cabins), 1 trailer, think they are weekly, will check when they get back to me, 7 RV sites, and 43 campsites.

Hey NH folks,

Could you bring any local Real Estate, employment guides, or community newspapers from your area?   My thinking is we can  lets the vistors take a look, and maybe get a better idea about the various community, housing and employment opportunities in NH.

Expect they will be available for the folks to look at, at the red cabin, and Saturday at the FSP booth.

Thanks in advance! Smiley

Dave - as Bradley and I will be cruising the state prior to the Fest, we could pick up some brochures of areas, houses, etc. and bring them to the Fest.  We are picking them up for ourselves anyway!
Let me know!

Margot -

That would be awesome if you could do that. I'll try to remember to pick some up for the Seacoast area when I go out, but I don't expect to be traveling to other areas of the state until we leave for the Porc Fest next week.

Rogers will be providing a meal after Saturdays event, at 5 pm.

Barbeque chicken
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
(choice of two)
Macaroni salad
Chips and dip

$6.50...Tickets can be purchase at Rogers office.

$5.00 charge for more that 2 adults per campsite.
Kids 14 and under free.

$3.00 day charge for visitors.  (I discussed this with Deb
and she indicated it is due to liability considerations.)

Understand the meal is a bit weak, but tried to keep the
cost down, and still give the folks a chance to break bread
together. Cheesy
