...and everything else is second; on this board anyway. I know that one's spirituality is part of every individual's personality, whatever side of the issue you may reside on. Visitors, prospective members and critics of the FSP come on this site and the last thing we need as a group is to dilute our message with coffeehouse/cornerbar trash talk sessions. If you feel the need to get more "passionate" about whatever issue you may be debating with someone then take it somewhere more appropriate.

I am not even sure what you are saying here, but for a forum moderator to make a coffehouse/corner bar topic like this, it only stifles discussion, because like all good little communists we fear reprisal if we challenge the views our senior comrads.
I am not opposed to passionate topics like the one you have created, but if you will accept a suggestion, you should register under a second user id that is not a moderator, and post these kinds of topics under that 2nd id.

Apparently you haven't been reading much over here then. I received three different complaints about a thread, and from both sides, so I deleted it and I started this thread as an explanation for why I deleted it. If throwing around words like communist makes you feel more free then go right ahead. Yesterday was an important day for the FSP and I felt that with all the extra traffic that would be on here, we didn't need to have guests read religiously inflamatory posts. You responded to my post to pick a fight "freedom" and there's nothing to fight about if you comprehended what you read better. I clearly stated that if people needed to be more passionate about the subject, there are other forums. That is not stifling.

I don't post on this forum. That's why I agreed to moderate it. That post was as a moderator to explain why I deleted the thread. I'm new at this so if I've committed a breach of etiquette then I apologize. I don't do the multiple id's thing though, it's too much to keep up with.

As you hit on I have not been reading much, because I am new to all the forums, so I am not familiar with what caused you to post this topic, so I appologize too for not trying trying to get more information about what was going on before posting.

Don't fret, Will, just do your best and it'll work out.
We all get worked up, forgetting that these are just words on a little screen, persuasion and not force.
While I was never very impressed by the notion of dusting up before the maid comes over, or, "Visitors, prospective members and critics of the FSP come on this site and the last thing we need as a group is to dilute our message with [...] trash talk sessions," but you're runnin' the joint, so do it, an' don't worry.

Freedom, thank you for understanding. I can see how my post would be confusing if you didn't see the original thread.
Herself, I liked the way you put that about "dusting before the maid came over"; that's exactly how I was looking at the situation.
