Favorite/least favorite movies
« on: September 22, 2003, 11:00:56 pm »

My favorite move has got to be

The First Lord of the Rings movie.  Either that or "Gangs of New York", which is a movie about gang-fights in the time of the Civil War.  It's really cool.  Also, I liked "Pirates of the Caribbean".  Best Disney movie I've seen in a coon's age.
My least favorite movie, on the other had, is "The Grinch" with Jim Carry(not sure of the spelling).  Uchhh!  That movie was horrible!

Favorite Westerns, in chronological order:

Stagecoach (1939)
High Noon (1952)
Shane (1953)
The Magnificent Seven (1960)
The Shootist (1976)

Open Range isn't in this class, but I do respect it.  It follows a traditional Western plot line, and it has no politically correct themes.

Dark City was a weird movie.  It was cool, but weird.  The Matrix was also very good.  I liked the part towards the end when Neo and Trinity went into the Matrix to save Morpheous(not sure of spelling).

I like light comedy, especially if it contains musical themes.  That Thing You Do is ideal.  Other favorites in no particular order:

A New Leaf
All of Me
Blazing Saddles
The Producers

That's my favorite part too! I love it when they enter the building lobby and Neo opens up his jacket full of guns and that guard is like, "Holy $#!t!"

Yeah, Dark City was so weird, but really trippy. I think it makes the point that humans are inherently good and no matter how much you mess with our minds we still have some kind of moral core that stays with us......

I think I need to watch that movie again.....oh yeah.... Cool

I, personally, like a lot of Adam Sandler's movies.  The  Monty Python movies are histerical!!! Smiley !!!

One of my least favorite movies:  The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951).  A suave, arrogant, tyrannical alien (Michael Rennie) comes to earth and orders us to shape up or be annihilated.
