New Freestater with nothing todo.
« on: July 15, 2012, 12:57:38 pm »

Hi guys, I'm a new freestater who just moved to Manchester on Wednesday the 4th. I've been just about stuck in the house since then and I was hoping to make some friends. Is anything going on today? I have three job interviews this week so I could use some friends to talk to as well.

What's up! Every Fri at Strange Brew the gang has been huge, from 5ish to around 8 or later. Then people usually migrate to whoever else is having a get together at their place later. Milly's Mingle on tuesdays is also still somewhat alive, I think??? I boycott Milly's, hah, so I'm not sure. There's a lot of impromptu events at the place, or at people's houses. If you come to any of the regular happy hour stuff and ask you could definitely get wind of all that stuff.

Recently, a small group has started getting together on Saturdays, 6:30 at Strange Brew for Bitcoin meetups to talk about future business ideas, ways to promote it, etc. This Sat at the same time there is the Southern NH Brewers Festival in Hooksett, only myself and a couple others are going to that, that I know of. At 2pm Sat there's Bowling for Bradley Jardis, benefit event at Spare Time on Maple st, to help him run for sheriff.  Jeez, also from 6 to 9 on Sat there's the Mission to Costa Rica, brainstorming ways to have a way station there for liberty lovers, 180 Woodbury St. This Sun there's also the NHLA dinner at Chateau Restaurant from 6 to 9. A pancake party from 8-10:30 am if you know Daniel from AltExpo, he's trying to recoup losses from poor sales there. Then Sat the 21st is the Open carry (optional) litter pickup, meeting at noon at JFK Coliseum.

Next month, Sat Aug 11th is the NH Pride festival at Vets Park from 12-5.

The NH Liberty Calendar is usually a good place to start:

I am staying in a hotel in Manchester this weekend.  My fiance and I have decided to make the move and are getting interviews scheduled all day Friday, the 27th.  I was hoping to find a way to talk to some FSPers since we weren't able to come up for Porcfest.  We'll stop by Strange brew around 5 Friday night.  Looking forward to it.

Last night a bunch of free staters were at the police checkpoint on Elm St.  If a checkpoint happens again, free staters will likely be there again.  They will likely announce it on Porc411 if it happens. http://nh.porcupine411.com/

PorcCalendar might be a better place to start.  It lists many more events and is sortable by region.

We're in need of volunteers to help out with Freedom Expo.  PM one of the organizers (like me) if you'd like to help.
"The Free State Project is an agreement among 20,000 pro-liberty activists to move to New Hampshire, where they will exert the fullest practical effort toward the creation of a society in which the maximum role of government is the protection of life, liberty, and property." Freedom Expo is at Trinity Parish House, Seabrook, April 27, 2013! (right next to the Post Office)
