sweet I was looking for more books on parenting suggestions, guides and help overall.
I have never been a parent, made certain I would not be over a third of a century ago
I am working on not being the forceful republican or pushover democrat lol
Don't worry, plenty of pushover republicans and forceful democrats around, though few I know of in the FSP. Statists are damed near everywhere.
I think this style of parent will end up bringing up some amazing kids BUT good luck debating them in 20 years. Just imagine if YOU were raised reading why the fed is wrong, the two party system being b.s. as well as why laws and regulations are NOT needed especially in a free society. Our kids and the next generation after will not fall for false flag wars, increased taxes and so on
The best kids I've ever met were homeschooled by extremely libertarian parents and I started meeting them over fifteen years ago (when some of the kids were already in their teens). They won't fall for all of that crap, but for as long as majority rule prevails (there are more of us than there are of you, we can beat you up) the big gangs (republican, democrat) will stomp the small gangs (minarchist libertarians) and individuals (anarchist libertarians like me).
If I seem to be a bit grim and jaded, tonight I'm bagging up about a dozen clear recycle bags with Lisa's plush animals, clothes aside from some tshirts that fit me, and linens. I've spent six weeks doing almost nothing but grieve (aside from Porcfest and tossing her ashes from just below the summit of Mount Washington facing the rest of the Presidential Range a few hours after leaving Porcfest). Lisa knew those kids better than I did, though she never wanted children either, she could get along with them even better than I could, despite not even being a libertarian yet when I took her to the first Liberty Round Table conclave (her love for Wyoming helped) and we never missed one after, it's where I got into the habit of serving chili to individualists. We missed two Porcfests including last year (financial meltdown), if the gods are kind (I'm an atheist so we don't always get along) I'll never miss one again, assuming I can dump this house in New Jersey for as much as half its appraised value I'll have a truck and be selling chili all over New Hampshire by next June).
Lisa and I planned to move up together. Well, now she's up there and I'm doing grunt work to dump the house. My first wife Naomi (she introduced me to Lisa when I came to the east coast from the bay area in early 92, she had an idea as to my taste in women and one of Michael's [we lost him 2.5 years ago] "ex" lovers was in the area) was with me, I'm hoping to talk her into coming with me instead of going from Brooklyn to that 246 acres in St Lawrence County NY where it generally snows 30 feet per year, a lot to shovel as a teen let alone when you're pushing 60.
