I am looking for an angel investor to procure capital for a business venture, not so much for someone who has an investment firm.

Preferably someone who seeks to help out wounded warriors and their families.

With only 1,000 or so early movers, the market for angel investors, venture capitalists and merchant bankers is very small.  Still, there is a need.  I have put out some feelers on this issue with some of the other FSP participants, but have yet to hear of a group that is providing these services.  Understandable...this movement is still very young.  So, unfortunately, there is not a formal network of liberty investors here that I can refer you to, yet.  Stay tuned.

If any early movers would like to discuss the formation of a group to provide capital to entrepreneurs, please PM me.

Rich - I am interested in this. There was a group that got started but quickly went down in flames after the person who started left some folks out to dry (or so I was told). Anyway it seems defunct now.

Jason any rough idea how much you seek to raise? What sector is it in? Of course there are some big names out there, depending on how strictly you define "liberty".

Anyone looking for investment I suggest http://wefunder.com/ or http://www.kickstarter.com/

A good idea is a good idea, if an ideal has merit then the investment audience will be wider then just the movers. If it doesn't why should the early movers invest in the first place?

I have my idea for an online publication, and I am alrady discussing it privately with some. I could use some money to carry it out, but at this time that would be premature.

What do you want to do? Not to anyone here in particular, but to all in and outside NH. What do you want to do?

Do you want to move your business to NH? Do you have a small project that would only cost a little bit of money to launch? Do you have an existing business that can be expanded? If so, would you be able to hire a couple of more people, and would like to consider those ready to move to NH?

Kickstarter is for donations, not investments.  I might invest in a business, expecting a return on that investment, where I wouldn't just hand that same business a grant...
