Thanks for the observations.  I suggest get a hold of the webmaster and offer them suggestions and help with the site.  A website is but one tool.  I understand marketing but I would worry about anyone who would join just because of a "good website".  This is not an impulse idea to jump on because it looks and sounds good.  Any move should be researched and analyzed.  It is nice to hear that the FSP site has  “… too much going on in it. …”… and there is so much in this website… “.   Maybe the FSP should have “… a new one created…”.   I wager that other sites wish they had this issue.
I spent a year lurking to check out the idea and the NH liberty movement.  It was the liberty people I met in 2007 that caused this 58 year old to leave his town of four generations in 2008 for NH.  I am proud of the accomplishments of the 1000 movers, those that maintain the site, and the fact that when we see an issue we address it ourselves.   I would ask the commenters of how the movement will not succeed to please step aside and let the ones working finish what has been started.

As a new uh...participant? signer? I for one did not take the appearance or utility of the website into account when making my decision.

One of the best things about the FSP is that it seems everyone I am talking to wants only those who are serious about making the move and actually participating. This is something most organizations today completely ignore, favoring large numbers on paper over actual dedicated participants.

Maybe the site being less than glamorous will scare off the summer soldiers and sunshine patriots. Then again, this is my first time using the site and I was unsure where to put an introductory post, so it could maybe be a bit more friendly for first time users. Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the FSP!

There actually isn't an introduction section.  There is a section for people thinking of joining, http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?board=12.0

Normally, if a new person joins the forum, as long as he or she isn't a troll, after a few posts, 1 or even several people, welcome the new person to the forum.
