Hello freestaters, this is my first time here.I(and family)just moved from Montana to Vermont. We aren't even done unpacking. Before anyone asks why the move I'll answer. It was to be closer to family. We spent the last 17 or so years out west and felt it was time to come back.We are currently renting because we haven't decided exactly where to settle yet.I read about the FS project years ago in a claire wolfe book.I'm also familiar with the movement in Wyoming.I agreed with the idea but franctly would never leave Mt. for Wy. and didn't think i would ever move back east.Things have changed.I am now looking at the white mountains as i write this.My family is all in NY unfortunately. We have tasted too much freedom(if there is such a thing)over the years and decided there was no way we could return to NY.So here is our situation. We are in Vt. we would have come right to NH except we didn't realize it was basically as close as Vt to NY.We spent too much time in a huge state with an 8-10 hr. drive to reach the next state. We have realized in the couple weeks we've been here that NH is just a better fit for us.Unfortunately I've already started my business here.I own a small construction and landscaping company. So I think we are gonna have to start from where we are.Unless we can make some connections and get some steady work on your side of the line.We will probably leave alot of our stuff packed just in case.I'd be happy to chat with anyone if they have any other ideas. Also if it is of interest to anyone we lived a totally self sufficient off grid lifestyle and have knowledge in a very wide range of subjects from animals and gardening to wilderness survival and self defense.Well i guess thats it for now.

Hi Montom, Well there, you snuck in right next door. You better not jump the river and visit us too often because you may not go back after VT starts hitting you where it hurts and no one there to understand what you mean by freedom. Appears you moved twice already and you occupation should be just as easy to start up here in NH as it was in VT. Sounds like you'll make it if not after LF then Porcfest. It took me 2 years to finalize my move while my wife took 4 years before she caught up with me LOL. If you like some Liberty links just let me know the topics/areas of interest and we can bury you with NH liberty sites and activist. looking to meet with you soon. -Tom

One of the hardest things so far is sales tax.We literaly feel like we're being robbed everytime we shop. Its also hard to watch all the people(sheeple)put up with it.I assume its because they are just used to it and dont know anything else.Still its sad.We have discovered shopping in w.lebanon but haven't ventured much further yet.Well one trip to look at a fixer up house near claremont.Unfortunately it should probably be bulldozed instead of fixed up.I don't mind projects, and would love to fix up an old house this was just too much of a project.I must admit that we absolutely love the old architecture. In Montana the old houses were mostly 10x10 cabins with no roof. Thanks for the links offer.I will take you up on it in the near future.Im still working through this sites archives and would like to get more of it done first.Look forward to meeting.
