Hello, I am planning to move to NH around Dec 1, 2011 and am looking to share a house / apartment, probably a 2 BR. I have reasons to stay close to Boston so I am considering the Pelham/Salem area.
Is anyone familiar with the Pelham / Salem area? Opinions? I have not been much but I like the fact that there are some big ponds/lakes that could be nice in the summer. I realize this is not necessarily a liberty hotbed like Manchester or Keene.

It's a really nice area with a great deal of Mass transplants. People in the area tend to have money and pay slightly more in property taxes than the NH average in property taxes (more than Manchester, less than Keene.) Voters in the area are overwhelmingly Republican. They tend to support state reps that support limited government and lowish taxes for the state as a whole. Salem is also a major shopping district in NH. http://www.city-data.com/city/Pelham-New-Hampshire.htmlhttp://www.city-data.com/city/Salem-New-Hampshire.htmlI don't know of a lot of FSPers in Salem but it is close to Manchester where the largest concentration of FSPers is.
