Topic: Who thinks there will be a critical mass? (Read 2122 times)

Every day it seems like America is getting less free. The FED is inflating the money supply to the point where FED notes are toilet paper. Once the gov. finally caves in to the socialitss protesting on Wall ST. and cancels student debt inflation will go through the roof and we'll all be poor. Regulations are worse now then they ever were in history.
I want to know when the breaking point is. At what point will liberty-loving Americans decide there fed up w/ growing move towards socialism and mass migrate to NH? Pretty soon every other state will be on the road to serfdom like Hayek predicted. I can bet NH will be like the Palestine mandate during the 1930s with people from all over migrating to one area where they can be free (which will be NH in our case.)
When do you think it will happen? I'd guess sometime between now and 2015 if Ron Paul isn't elected.

I think a lot of people would be moving now, but have been delayed due to:
1) Cost of real estate
2) Cost of property tax
3) Style or age of housing available
4) The winter temps, ice, and snow
5) Other reasons
I think a lot of people have noticed that something smells rotten and want to make the move, but have obstacles in their path. Just a guess.

I think there could be critical mass. But so many true Libertarians don't want to move (e.g, from California or Florida). We could have a voting block and not just a group of activists. I'm like the original poster in that I don't understand why people are so foolish and believe in the Democratic and Republican parties.

I've been on the mises.org forum and asked why people didn't want to join the FSP and move. The reasons they gave were all of yours and claimed that NH is no more free then other states. |

They want to know about the free market and lack of taxes. They also want opportunity. I wish there were more free-market think tanks and academic institutions promoting austrian econ inside NH. That way a lot of these kids would have a huge incentive to move. Lew Rockwell should move the Mises Institute from Auburn to Keene or Concord for one. |

Lots of regulation was repealed this past year.
This coming session I'm excited about legislation establishing a state Bank... that would be required to hold reserves in Gold & Silver.
