The whole operation of the Fed hasn't ever been audited, they exempt parts of it which are giving money to foreign banks and possibly contributing secretly to funding a lot of wars and foreign govts doing all kinds of bad stuff, not to mention interfering with the price of gold and other commodities.

The dual mandate is ridiculous. Trying to keep unemployment low, and keep the value of the dollar steady, generally require completely opposite approaches in monetary policy.
