Topic: I need your help -- Facebook recruiting (Read 3494 times)

In 2008, I ran what has been the most successful ad campaign for recruiting participants to date (at least in terms of measurable return on investment). We averaged one participant and 2-3 friends per every $80 spent (and that's only counting the people that told us they heard about us on fb. I'm sure there were others who signed up without telling us). See here: http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=16184.0I'm ready to try it again. This time, though, I need help. 1 - An ad campaign is only as good as its landing page. This was my landing page last time: http://freestateproject.org/intro/2008_election (NOTE that when the website was changed over, the page got messed up a bit). I need someone to update it with current information (12 free staters elected to the legislature, positive legislative change, etc.). 2 - I need $500 in pledged donations. I don't need the money until I've gotten the $500 in pledges. Pledge by posting here. Once we reach or surpass $500 and have a good landing page, I'll start up and run the campaign. I'll post daily updates like I did last time.

(We have a regularly created chipin to collect money for facebook campaigns (that's accessible through the donor page; I'm not going to link to it directly here). But I'm not sure how that's going at the moment. I don't think I've seen a result report in the past two months. I could be wrong.)
-I can probably give $100 to this.
-I can mod the landing page. Let me know what specific changes you want made. i.e. which issues you want listed. (And I really, really won't care to hear idle banter from non-pledgers about which issues shouldn't be advertised on ideological or philosophical grounds.)

sj,
Great to hear that you are doing this again. I pledge $50. And would be more than happy to help with Analytics again (or anything else related to this) if you so desire.
best, ~turbo

Wow! Did I ever have a hard time registering and logging in. First I couldn't read the captcha. Then my password was too short. Then when I logged in, it told me "forbidden" but I finally got here! I don't have any money at all, but I can help with the website.

Great!!!!! Give me and B.D. Ross some time to get the landing page in order and then I'll launch this thing. I'll collect the money from those pledged (along with any stragglers) via chip-in.
