Looking for housing in the Portsmouth area

Hi guys. I am a UNH student looking for housing in or near Portsmouth for about $700/month or less. If I move to New Hampshire for six months I can qualify for in-state tuition. How are the jobs up there? I have medical experience and can work as an EMT.
