You missed all the important parts of what John wrote, too - but, again, when I'm calmed down and back in serious discussion mode, we'll go over it - sentence by sentence.
I want to know who fuckin' deleted my words and why (I don't need the why if it's you, Ross - whatever, we'll deal with that shit after the John Adams constituion discussion, and not on a forum.)

I was in a good, sun-warmed and tired mood when I got in here, and was thinking 'this is the most perfect way to come into a John Adams discussion with Ross' - and then I see fuckin' censorship.

That's how I read it - let me know if you read it differently.
The government's purpose is to protect the people's natural rights and liberties. When the government fails, the people have a right to alter the government to achieve those purposes.
A social compact voluntarily binds the people of this state so that each citizen agrees that everyone is subject to laws made for the common good. Necessarily, the people must then provide for fair ways of making, interpreting, and executing those laws so that everyone will be protected.
To achieve this, we, the the people of Massachussetts, declare the following Declaration of Rights and Frame of Government as our Constitution for a new civil government.Fairly standard fare as far as constitutions go, both with and without flowery language. In case you hadn't noticed, this entire thread is chock-full of hardcore sex, cussing and rule-breaking (especially of the religion and liberty section's rules and guidelines, but that is because some -other mod- decided to go and mesh the rule-following thread made for here with the obscenity-ladened counterpart that was in the commons), and if any mod is asking for more moderation of this particular thread, let THEM be the one to make that kinda choice (I doubt, highly, that anyone is asking that this thread be more moderated, by the way, but if anyone *has* said it should be more moderated, tell them to contact me privately if they have any issues, concerns or whatever.) YOU, on the other hand, have no ability to make unbiased and fair judgements in this thread. In fact, you have ZERO capability of being unbiased and fair with ME when it comes to your decisions on my writing being open to your control. IF you ever do that again to me, I will seek to have your censorship tool taken away from you, on this forum. I don't want to be put in that posittion, so don't attempt to play a power-trip game with me. You won't win that game, Ross, when your power is as corrupted by your own emotions and fears as it was in the decision to delete what I wrote. And what you selected to delete - #$%$#% - too revealing, Ross, but of no shock to me. You can't make the facts disappear simply by erasing the words that state it; same is true of words like LIBERTY and FREEDOM. I'm surprised you'd even try that tactic on the word you wanted to 'go away' (and it wasn't the word 'sex', either.) Sorta like those who try to make 'religion' go away - as if everything would be 'so much better' if certain 'concepts' didn't exist. What you deleted wasn't about sex, Ross, and you know it. You deleted it because it made YOU uncomfortable to see the truth in words. As if neither of us were aware - come on. I've been aware since you followed me to a different forum to argue some more with me after a previous spat-round here. So what? So there's *that* - as if neither of us is capable of being honest about it, accepting it, and moving forward with it in a rational, logical and compassionate manner? As if that doesn't happen sometimes, out of the control of both parties? It's human nature, stop getting irritated by it and nervous about it. You're human. I'm human. It happens. It doesn't have to be a soft spot or a weakness - we can harness it into something useful. Something positive, as it was meant to be - we may not be able to do anything with it that we might 'dream' about, but maybe that's not the best or only thing to do with it anyway. Maybe something different, and better, could be done with it - like having a discussion about the 'creator' of your 'religion' of law. :p Utilize the 'dynamic' in a good, peaceful way - we CAN do that. I AM GLAD we have this dynamic. It may drive me nuts, too, sometimes, but I wouldn't go and try to ignore it, deny it or dismiss it away as if it's a bad thing. I don't see it as a bad thing; I see it as a positive. We'll talk more one day about it; I don't want to rail into you with the text-based equivalent of a nail gun (although I mighta already... it's Fight Club, sorry), when it's obvious you've had a shitty week of accidently infuriating people (I am infuriated, but also, now, just want to smooth this out and get us back on track with our discussion on John Adams.) I forgive you; please don't do it again. And I am sorry that what I wrote caused that much discomfort to you, as it was read from your eyes. I thought you already had made peace with that 'element' of things. Will try to get back to the John Adams discussion this week. Thanks for embarking on that with me. |

Sweetheart, I joined the FSP a couple of weeks after the vote went to the state my mother's family has been in since the Salem trials. (Not sure if there's a connection there, but it's nice to speculate). At least two of the girls I lusted after at Laconia High School are still in the state (one of them was at a couple of Worldcons, La Esposa was delighted to chat with somebody who knew me as an adolescent, before I became the greying jerk she married -- mind you, my first wife introduced us, so she already had a lot of background info).
I intend to remarry my first wife (and La Esposa agrees with that). It won't be legal, but it wasn't legal back in the 70s, polyandry has never been recognized in any of the states of the U.S. and none respect polygyny now.
Naomi's husband Michael (one of Lisa's past and for that matter recent lovers, so there, you have the whole story) died a couple of months back. He was more than a brother to me. I won't propose to his widow until a year and a day have passed. (I'm an atheist, but I'm also a traditionalist).

While normally I enjoy reacting with fiery emotion in this thread, for reasons I won't go into, I selected not to do that this time. I have concluded you were absolutely wrong with what you did; there were other ways to resolve that issue without you using the 'force' of your power of deletion. I would have voluntarily deleted it, upon request, and I think you know that about me - I am not an unreasonable person. And I wish you'd given me that chance. I also want you to know that I forgive you and it's not that big of a deal in the 'big picture' of things; it changes nothing in regards to my respect for, admiration of and continued friendship with you. I would like to discuss John Adams and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with you, which I think you oughta know was actually titled "A Constitution or Form of Government For the Commonwealth of Massachusetts', and you being a lawyer/attorney, I'm sure you know the importance of those little key words - like 'or' or 'for' and the difference between 'for' and 'of' - I have titled a new thread with the actual name of the document, and I hope to see you there. Your alleged "punishment" was not harsh, unfounded, randomly used upon you, nor should it have been unexpected.
