FSP Group on Couchsurfing.org
« on: June 11, 2009, 10:48:23 pm »

I'm throwing this idea out to the FSP community as another area to publicize the FSP and NH liberty groups…
Inviting travelers to stay with us for a day or so to experience our FSP groups and ideologies.

I just started a “Free State Project” group on the  www.couchsurfing.org   site I used for travel sharing for over 8 years with a ( so far ) 100% excellent experience in meeting new and different people while being helped with travel logistics and lodgings.
Check it out and sign up if interested in helping CS travelers find us here in NH.  … “Surf” my profile name:  Ploszaj or  search the Community groups for: FSP or free State Project.

I’ll be at PorcFest and available at the Alt Expo Tent to discuss this idea further.

tom, I can't respond to this, yet. But, i 1st, you have to spell the surfing right. Then you need to come up here stronger, and show yourself moreso. but, what do yo want us to evaluate for you? sorry, i feel like i'm in chat.

Opps ... Thanks.
I posted this idea after following the Motorhomediaries and "Max from Seabrook" looking for a place to crash. I wondered how many other Porcs travel outside of NH and of travelers coming through NH in need of a place to stay with liberty minded people.  I put my link out so people can browse the site and see how we can use it to help others with traveling cross country.

I just joined your couchsurfing.org Free State Project Group.  I'm hoping that this helps the effort over the long run.

Be sure to mention pledgebank.com/Next1000 to new folks, also.

Nice to see people are on the ball. I just found the couchsurfing site yesterday and gave it a plug on the moving and housing topic a few minutes ago.

That island project is pretty interesting, isn't it? I hope they succeed.

I've surfed and hosted a pretty decent amount with Couchsurfing. I love it. I wish more Free Staters would get into it. Its a great organization!

George: "Oh, no. What you represent to them is freedom."

Billy: "What the hell is wrong with freedom? That's what it's all about."

George: "Oh, yeah, that's right. That's what's it's all about, all right. But talkin' about it and bein' it, that's two different things. I mean, it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace. Of course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free, 'cause then they're gonna get real busy killin' and maimin' to prove to you that they are. Oh, yeah, they're gonna talk to you, and talk to you, and talk to you about individual freedom. But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em."

Billy: "Well, it don't make 'em runnin' scared."

George: "No, it makes 'em dangerous. Buh, neh! Neh! Neh! Neh! Swamp!"

I used couchsurfing.org when I was in LA, but didn't actually land myself a couch when I needed it.  I was thinking of adding my house (or my futon, anyway).  Does anyone have ideas about making sure that you just get decent, reliable people, eh?

When I fly to NH in the next 6 weeks, I will definitely need to do some things to save money because I'm poor and on a tight budget.  This would be a great thing for me, but for me the thing is, I insist if someone extends their hospitality in any way that I do something in return.  It's just how I am, so I'd have to be helping to do something around the house, clean, wash dishes, something.
