Has anyone built a site yet that lists businesses owned by free state members and supporters? If not I would be interested in getting something like that up and running.

Hey that is a great idea. I can help, if you need it. I can provide hosting, a domain name and some development help.

There's a page (and a few other attempts) on NHFree: http://www.nhunderground.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Porcupine%20Business%20DirectoryThere's the NHLibertyDollar site's list of businesses that accept Liberty Dollars: http://nhlibertydollar.com/Not strictly Porcs, and it hasn't had enough businesses added, but is an example of what can be done. Shire Silver has always planned to do a similar search capability - just haven't gotten around to it yet. If someone is going to do something like this, I think it should be done well and not just something tossed up without thought. Also keep in mind that some Porcs don't want to be advertising themselves to the larger community (AKA government types that might think they're doing something illegal), so they wouldn't want to be listed on a public site.

Definitely will want to do it "right", Ron. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let us know. Hmm, it looks like turbo brought this up before. And someone registered porcbiz.com (great name) but nothing's going on there. http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?topic=16052.0I posted something on that thread to see where they are at with it.

Yes, and unfortunately I haven't found time to finish it yet, but it's still on my agenda. Hopefully by Porcfest (so I can hand out cards) Competition is welcome, of course. dontpatronize.info is cool. My site will be a bit different... and maybe more than just a business directory. ~turbo

If anyone needs help on the design or front-end of things, let me know. I think this is insanely important for helping to grow and promote the liberty movement. My AIM name is "o d i n 2 4 8" (minus the spaces)

A free staters business index is an interesting idea. Keep in mind the pro-freedom community in NH is larger than the FSP movement in NH. There are a bunch of pro-freedom folks and tons of somewhat pro-freedom folks in NH who aren't FSP folks. I personally have no need for an FSP business index. I'd love a pro-freedom business index, though. Don't patronize is somewhat like that, but not very extensive.
Remember, many people drop a lot of the FSP stuff when they move to NH, and that is health and generally a good thing. I'm not saying it's bad to continue to recruit non-NH friends and family to move to NH or to try to recruit at events in Boston; it's just that since the pro-freedom movement in NH is so much bigger than the FSP.

Yea I sort of mean to be all inclusive with it. Did not really mean to imply a FSP only sort of thing. I'd love a pro-freedom business index, though. - thats essentially what I would like to see as well.

Yes, more than once. I remember 1 that was updated yearly for a few years.
