I have no problem with defining myself and the movement of which I am a part as libertarian. It's a word that has a history of meaning that is worth preserving in my opinion. I'm also an anarchist or voluntaryist. Meaning the end result of having true freedom is anarchy meaning "no government" or "no state" a strictly "voluntary based" society. Historically the world anarchy has been associated with persons being against all kinds of domination and hierarchy which includes but is not just limited to the state.

Saw this article today: http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20081021/cm_csm/ybartelsThe line that jumped out at me: Bush's multitrillion-dollar tax cuts [...] may even have contributed to [...] significant job losses. Tax cuts cause job losses? In what universe is that even possible? In this case, one of the biggest problems with Bush's tax cuts was the lack of spending cuts to balance the budget. So how can simply not collecting taxes cause "significant" job loss. All I can figure is that a little pre-election pro-government babble is needed to help the press support their man.

Bush's multitrillion-dollar tax cuts [...] may even have contributed to [...] significant job losses. Tax cuts cause job losses? In what universe is that even possible? When you have a doctorate in political science, your writings don't need to comport with inconvenient trivialities like "facts" or "objective reality".

Libertarianism was to blame. They weren't able to stop the mess caused by the democraps or repulican'ts.

Agreed... "libertarian" includes both anarchists and minarchists, and all the flavours of the two.
As Karl Hess put it, "What do you expect--rules?"
