So, I drew up a budget for the trip to see if I can afford to make it. The price of gasoline has blown it. My only hope to make it is to see if anyone would be interested in riding with me and splitting the cost of gas and toll roads. Here are the details: I will be driving from Marietta, GA, stopping at a KOA campground for the night in Virginia. I will be driving a Subaru Legacy wagon that I am estimating will get at least 25MPG on the road ( it usually does a little better since I am not an aggressive driver ). I would leave butt-early from Marietta on June 16. Leaving early again on the 24th so that we could be back in Marietta on the 25th. Let me know soon if you are interested! Danielle - This is a thread from last year's PorcFest... The 2008 ride share threads will be going soon, I'm sure. And by the time they are, I should know if I'm driving up from Atlanta. There's a chance only a small portion of my family will be going this year, depending on work & summer camp schedules. I may have space. |
