Science Fiction fans. Count me in.
Linux/Free Software/Open Source geeks. I don't do Windows. If you don't either, lets get together. I don't want to rely on Windows - any chance that people could provide some CD/DVD's with setup software to get newbies set up with a dual boot system?
I'll have a few CDs along, several distributions. Mind you, I haven't set up a dual-boot system in years, if I get a machine with 'doze I generally just blow that partition away. Discordians/Erisians/Wilsonian anarchists. If you don't know what those are, you possibly are one. I don't exactly know what those are, but I think I might possibly be one.
Recommended reading: Illuminatus! by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. Marriage optionists. - I prefer that marriage not be defined by a government.
I prefer that nothing be defined by a government. And I'm not talking mathemetics or epistemology here. Foodies. I like to cook. Let's swap recipes. - I like food. I like to eat. Sometimes I like to cook. Hope you like chili. Brewers. I like beer/wine/mead and on occasion I've made them from scratch. I've brewed beer, I really want to do a GOOD mead, and I'm a chemist - so I've distilled a lot of stuff. Meads can vary as much as beers or wines. Actually, my most successful mead was in the category "ale mead", brewed in weeks with ale yeast rather than in months with wine yeast. Always be aware of the risk you take if you distill ethanol. The Treasury Department always wants its cut. Drinkers. As above, but I'll also buy it from a store. Let's schedule this one for the end of the day. Bring enough for everybody. I'll be there with bells on.Potheads and others against the War on (some) Drugs. Please do _not_ bring enough for everybody or even barely enough for yourself. Why? ... oh. Right. I've got a long-standing history of being against the War on Some Drugs. I'm also a chemist and a Gun Nut. I'm there. Alexander Shulgin is too, in spirit. I don't think we need a seperate litter box for gunnies - we naturaly identify one another and congregate. Go ahead - try and stop us from talking about guns. I dare ya. Are you feeling lucky? Well, are ya punk?

Very cool. I'm sure I can dual boot it myself if I had to. I've read Illuminatus! twice and loaned it out a few times. Good stuff. I prefer that there not BE a government. I love chili. Give me some beer, some bread, and some good chili, and I'll be happy for a good long time. I'm looking forward to seeing how good a moose chili turns out. I had a full-bodied, sweet mead that had a fairly good alcohol content at a Ren Fest once, and haven't found it's like since. I'd love to have a few gallons of that... Like I said, I was a chemist. We started off with tax-free ethanol to begin with. We just distilled it under nitrogen over magnesium chips to clean it up and dry it out. F*** the cheap treasury department thugs. What's the deal with those little brandy stills that they advertise in the airline magazines?

I don't think it works right. You can call them during the week and set it up. The Poplar field is the only place that is not available to us. A father/son group is there on friday/sat. If you want an open field site and partying ... then the boardwalk is for you. If you want a little open area with grass, the spots across the street from the poplar field and near the showers/small playground are very nice. The spots going up the road (going south) towards the buildings are nice and have a creek running through them. Alright -- I'm gonna look at the map again --I don't want the mega party area, but I really want power and to be near the bathrooms so that area across the street from Poplar field is probably right on. I check it out.

Never had a dead moose available. When I open the restaurant I will be offering a chili du jour (though not necessarily every jour) so I can experiment on a continuing basis. In past, I've mostly used beef, pork, lamb. Bear once, at a Liberty Round Table conclave. Always meat with texture, not ground meat. I had a full-bodied, sweet mead that had a fairly good alcohol content at a Ren Fest once, and haven't found it's like since. I'd love to have a few gallons of that... I'm partial to dryness in just about any wine or mead. Not much of a sweet tooth. Like I said, I was a chemist. We started off with tax-free ethanol to begin with. No idea. I haven't flown since a year or two before the TSA was created.

Ward,
Is there a place where I can find the various groups listed, time and place of meeting, and where I can sign up?
Thanks, Michael

Anyone interested in a meet-up for atheists and/or objectivists?

Well, on Sunday there's usually a gathering of the godless at the same time as the religious meeting. I'll add Randites to my list. I'm not a real objectivist myself, but I do like Rand's fiction even though her non-fiction was a bit too strident for my taste.
