Hey,
I'll be up in NH next wednesday as a new resident. Can I get my hunting license right away or is there a waiting period? I have a valid MA hunting license right now.
Also, what do I need to bring with me to register my car and get my NH license? Anything in particular? Do I need to bring my apartment lease? Any other docs?

I would recommend not asking the local mafia's permission to do anything. Live free to live free.

Hi Russell, Um...what did you mean by mafia? There's mafia in Wilton?

Hi Russell, Um...what did you mean by mafia? There's mafia in Wilton? Russell's view of mafia includes anyone claiming any amount of governmental authority. So the Lovely Rita, meter maid, and Ranger Smith are part of Russell's 'mafia'. As for what you need, yes, you'll need lease, birth cert, and other ids (passport or MA license). Check the NH DMV website for the list.

I don't know about other states but I know this about moving from Massachusetts: Your car is considered registered in Mass until you return the plates to the DMV (or sign a form that you lost them). Of course, you have to pay taxes on it until you return the plates and bring the receipt to your old town hall.

Thanks, Dreepa. Those are good links, very helpful. So I guess I will register my car first and then for my driver's license afterward.
