Jason, can you give your avatar a T-shirt that says "First 1000" on it?  Wink

I've created a shirt with the F1K logo on the front, and the FSP logo on the back.

Anyone on the F1K list can have one, by creating an account on Second Life, joining the Porcupine group, and buying one from me for the extremely low price of $L1 (about .4 cents) (New users get $L250 to start)  Beggars with no money can just ask for one as a charity case, if they have helped someone else sign up as a F1Ker.

In this photo, you can see that we promote Big Ian, the Anti-Big Brother.

Nice pic Smiley
Did you join the "Porcupine" group?
GimmeCastro and I spent a few minutes this morning chatting with a "virual real estate agent" (no kidding, such people really exist) in SecondLife.
It was pretty cool how even just two people with FSP shirts and "Porcupine" over their avatars, look like the cool group to be in to onlookers Smiley

Looks like me in real life, or close enough. Smiley  I'll have to take another one, next to the video screen as it shows Russell in court...

Kat and Russell: the Movie!

It's a scene from Free State Project: the Movie... not yet rated. In this scene, Kat (not played by Dawn French) and Russell (not played by William H. Macy) are going to court to face charges of sign holding outside a free speech zone while President Bush comes to visit. The charges are dropped. On the left, Dreepa plays himself in a cameo role. Um, what do you call a real life story, shot documentary style, and then viewed in second life, is this Life 1.5?

Jason, ShyFrog, and Seth, thanks for all your awesome work promoting the FSP and First 1000 in Second Life!!  I will be at the virtual virtual  Huh party in Plymouth, interacting with native, early mover, future and potential Free State residents virtually. Or not.  This is so confusing.  And that Ian wallpaper is probably going to give me nightmares.  Tongue

We have the technology.  The First 1000 is unstoppable now!  The First 1000 avatars to join our Free State Project group in SL will get one of these.

Hope all of you have fun- the bar looks great by the way!  Sorry I'll miss out on scoring one of those cool SL, FSP tee shirts!

A huge thank you to Jason Rand for his very successful, zany, surreal, and entertaining virtual reality event in Second Life last night!  There was quite a crowd, some of whom I "recognized" and some of whom I didn't.  There were guns, chicks, booze, live music, dancing, flying mini-buses, free T-shirts, and even a streaker or two.  I had an awesome time.  I also took the opportunity to check out Serenity, where I met Jayne and brought him back to the FSP party.  Before the evening was over, he was wearing an FSP T-shirt!  Grin

Thanks also to "Gimme Castro", "Seth Kohl", and the Wishfarmers for their technical expertise.  It was all visually stunning, way too much fun, and I can't wait to get back (hopefully with speakers hooked up next time, so I can hear the music).

I enjoyed it! Unfortunately, I got called away from the computer after about 45 minutes and couldn't get back, but it was a good time.

A Mormon, Objectivist, and Kantian walk into the Gimme Liberty Bar...

Oh, you left it hanging and I have to write such a joke now...

The three of them order a round of beers (and a softdrink for the Mormon), and when the bartender asks who's paying for the round,
the Mormon says that he shouldn't have to pay for their beers as it's against his faith, the Objectivist objects to paying for the other two on the ground that everyone should be responsible for themselves, and the philosopher merely shrugs, turns out his empty pockets and says "I. Kant."
