Sen. Judd Greg on those tricky terrorists

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-07-11-senate-drug_x.htm?csp=34

"But Republican leaders vociferously opposed the plan for fear, they said, the drugs could be unsafe for consumers — or even present a terror risk.

Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., said the proposal was an attempt to push the FDA into reversing itself while "creating a massive hole on our capacity to secure our borders and protect ourselves."

"If I were a creative terrorist, I would say to myself, 'Hey, listen, all I've got to do is produce a can here that says 'Lipitor' on it, make it look like the original Lipitor bottle, which isn't too hard to do, fill it with anthrax," Gregg said. "

The only "tricky terrorists" I'm concerned with are those that promulgate the coup regime to annihilate the constitution. 'Nuff said.

Heh... this reminds me of the Senate heading on Real-ID.
I was one of about a half-dozen Free-Staters who gave testimony in favor of HB 1582, which would have oped NH out of the federal Real-ID program.

One of the State Senators, Peter Burling, was definitely on our side. He was trying to make the point that a massive Federal ID database would be an attractive target for terrorists. He came up with 3 or 4 pretty creative ways a terrorist could take advantage of such a database to wreak havoc. I was pretty impressed at his criminal mind, and I told him so... "if you ever get tired of your current job, Senator, there may be a spot for you in certain foreign organizations!"

He took the joke well and laughed, though it was really not what he was hoping to hear Wink

A great reason to come to NH... anybody can actually show up at the Senate, and say their peace to the people who are voting for or against the laws. How cool is that?!?! I had never done anything like this before. It's so empowering....

If Judd Gregg were a creative terrorist, he could produce a guy who looks like a small government, pro-liberty politician, fill that guy with statist beliefs, which isn't too hard to do, which would produce a massive hole in our ability to secure our freedoms and protect our constitutional rights.
