Welcome
« on: July 10, 2006, 03:07:46 pm »

Hi all,

There is a second annual FSP event being organized, in addition to PorcFest. It is called

The New Hampshire Liberty Forum,
Attaining Personal and Economic Freedom in America's Freest State
[/size]

It will be a 3-day event in February 2007 (dates TBA) to be held at a hotel/convention center in Concord, NH.

Target audience:
- FSP Participants (out of state)
- FSP Participants (in state)
- Liberty-minded NH residents

Objective of event (listed in no particular order):
1.  To provide an opportunity for all Free State Project Participants (and Friends) to meet together in New Hampshire for social purposes, and to get firsthand New Hampshire experience.
2.  To provide an opportunity for New Hampshire residents to better understand the Free State Project, meet its Participants, and share a stake in its goals.
3.  Create an environment where everyone gets excited about the reachable common goal of creating a freer personal and economic State.
4.  Learn political action methods already being effectively employed in New Hampshire (i.e. Letters to editor, calls to Reps, testimony at the State House, use of media, etc.)

We will have several break-out threads or "workshops", topics ranging from National ID, Gun Rights, Education to ending Drug Prohibition. We are planning to have a panel of FSP NH candidates who have "run and won". Other panels may include Taxes and Media. We will have speakers on our successful activity in passed bills (i.e. no smoking ban, homeschool bill, etc). Lots of exciting stuff. As this event will be held in Concord, we will include some NH Senate & House business.

I will be making regular updates on this site and will also welcome any feedback from you.

However, if you wish to get more involved, please send me a note/request that you want to join a Yahoo group, specific to organizing this event.

best regards,

That sounds very cool. Being a college student in WA, I will probably not be able to attend this event, but it looks very cool for those who will be able to make it. I'll be at next summer's PorcFest though for sure.

In Concord means that flying visitors still have to get a rent car. Maybe a shuttle service from the Manchester airport could be arranged.

I'll plan to be there, too :)

So we got Brian and me....  Guess we need registration pretty soon! ;)

Maybe dates and locations first, though, huh? ;)

I can't promise... but it sounds great!

February, as it was meant to be, instead of 80 degrees one day, 15 degrees the next, and 35/freezing rain the day after that.

Texas sucks!

Permit me to suggest a workshop on New Hampshire Independence.  My organization could help facilitate that.  www.republicofnh.org

I'll definitely show up for a gathering in February. It's another good reason to spend more time in the Free State, an opportunity I'll *always* grab!  --Tim Condon

Yes!   ;D ;D

Finally, a professional FSP conventinon!  A brilliant idea.  A serious event like this will give the media a reason to attend as well as many others who aren't turned on by an informal campground pow-wow.  (I'm not taking a shot at Porcfest, I'm sure it's a blast, it's just that this has a very professional appeal.)

Also.. it's much easier to broadcast live from a hotel than a campground in the boonies!
