St. Louis was tough. A couple day's before this, around 1/3 of the area was without power and even on the day this happened, a couple 100,000 were without power. I think more people would have gone to the Warped Tour if St. Louis was not recoving from one of the worst storms in its history.
You did a great job there. All of your helpers also did great work!

A report on the Chicago Stop
First and foremost, a HUGE thanks to Keith for all his efforts. Coordinating is not easy and he is giving of his time to make a difference.
Our lead guy Dan is a fantastic activist and we both worked the crowd hard in oppressive heat. I would conservatively estimate we got over 150 sign ups for newsletters as well as 2 friends and a signer. The comment I heard most often was “what a cool idea you guys have!â€Â
My suggestion, which unfortunately would cost money (as most suggestions do), would be to have FSP temporary tattoos as a giveaway. One of our local alternative rock radio stations was using them. I would further suggest if any of you graphic artists would like to start noodling with a design that “simple is betterâ€Â. Also, given that the demographic of the warped crowds are that of passionate defiance that the porc mascot not be used in favor of a play on the “live free or die†motto (with the FSP web address incorporated, of course).
The Heartland Institute here in Chicago uses these custom temp tattoos so if there is an interest in pursuing this I can follow up with obtaining vendor/pricing info.

Excellent! Kieth is doing a great job. Eight stops in a row is hard work. We all owe him a big thanks. Especially good job on the newsletter. I assume that includes a whole bunch of myspace friends.

I Just watched Fuse (the rock music cable channel). The most popular show on Fuse is Warped : Inside and Out. Fuse ran a marathon of Warped : Inside and Out today. One of the episodes started off with the Truth.com tent crew yelling and cursing at each other. This happened at the Nashville Warped Tour and the FSP tent was right across from the Truth.com tent. They showed me leaning over the FSP table as I was setting it up. Joe, the FSP member that helped me in Nashville, was also visible in this shot. They showed the FSP tent two more times during this section of the show. You could see the FSP Dont Tread On Me Porcupine flag well enough to read the main writing every time and see the FSP banner once . I am sure Steve will be excited by this news. I remember how happy he was that the FSP Porcupine flag was flown at Roger's Campground. Well, it was also seen by millions of people on TV. This episode has already run a few times and will likely run again.

OK. I found the video online. It is a small clip but I don't know how to save it. This would be a great video to save as an example of FSP activism Hey, millions of people have seen it and now we have proof. Could someone please pull the video out of the page and send me a copy? To see it, go to this page, http://fuse.tv/upload/warpedinsideandout.phpclick on "most viewed" where it says Sorted By This is the clip title and info Episode 3 - The Truth Tour View file 2006-08-02 Rating: 3.19 / 5 Thanks a bunch

Thanks man. That was pretty fast. It looked a lot better on TV and a little better on the Fuse feed but I cannot pull a video from either of those sources If anyone wants to see it, the longest shot of the FSP tent goes from 0:19-0:24 on the Google video link.

I have the MPG file on my computer and will happily burn it to a CD and snail-mail it to anyone who wants a copy. Email me your postal address and I'll send it out!

would we be able to do this again this year? i think it'd be an important one, considering the election is coming up, so it really the only time this age/subculture/social group really takes time to look at politics (not to come off rude, but i've been a part of this crowd, so i know how it goes).
if it would be possible, i'd gladly volunteer to follow along on as many dates as possible once my current production is over (late june).
would this be a possibility?

The FSP cannot do it anymore put you could do it as part of a NH non-profit, New England group, or nation pro-freedom group like Bureaucrash in 2009 (as groups usually sign-up in Feb/April). Warped Tour used to let groups like the LP and FSP promote in the Non-profit Take Action section but now Warped Tour is pushing for IRS approved non-profits. I'm sure there must be some pro-freedom non-profits in NH. I'm doing 4 shows as part of Bureaucrash (Kansas City, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Boston) but I'll also distribute Free Talk Live and FSP stuff at the shows. I'll be living in NH before next summer so I'll try to make sure NH based freedom groups have a presence at as many NH/MA rock festivals as possible. The FSP has a presence at the annual Hempfest in Boston and Denis Goddard promotes FTL at shows with somewhat pro-freedom lyrics in Manchester. He could use help for the July 11 Rush show in Manchester. You don't even have to attend the show
