What do you think?  A simple SOI-like statement (i.e. pledge) is all you need, and will greatly bloster their numbers.  However, they could get false members, but I don't see what they could do besides be identify as an LP member.  The committee and state LPs would still screen electees to some degree.

I think it's a great idea.  Too bad the LP refused to come on my show and talk about it.  I asked that they simply notify their email list of the appearance, and they refused.

LP National still leaves a lot to be desired.   Sad

Yes, you are right about that. I refuse to support the National LP until there is more open communication channels set up. I just can't agree with the way things are being run to support them at this time.  Angry Roll Eyes

I believe strongly that despite their shortcomings, we all SHOULD support the national LP.  They are an established political organization and we can join and work to CHANGE things where changes are necessary...

I'm divided on this issue. Initially I thought it was good - but now, more than ever, it's going to need a lot of member donations with its main source of funding gone.

If the donations pick up the tab for the lost revenue, then it will have been a good move. But if not...
