So I'm over the first leg in my three-step phase in becoming an investment advisor.
I'm just a financial planner right now.
So with my Texas license, I will be able to pay a fee and get a license to do business in New Hampshire.
Primerica (member of Citigroup and f/k/a A.L. Williams) can help you folks with:
--Asset protection (term life insurance) --Debt elimination (free Financial Needs Analysis) --Mutual fund investments --Mortgages
All in all, I think the financial industry would do well in a state like New Hampshire. Anyone interested in becoming financially independent?

I was involved with Primerica to the point of taking one class with them that enabled me to pass an insurance licensing exam. Then I realized that they are pyramid scam similar to Amway. They have nothing of value - they try to trick you into buying insurance and financial services by offering a "job." But the only way to earn money at this so called "job" is to find other victims who can be similarly tricked into buying their questionable insurance and services. I did not very thouroughly investigate the quality of their insurance and financial services products, but I assume that they can't be that good if they can't market them through traditional channels but instead must rely on cult-like recruitment techniques. And BTW, the fact that they are owned by Citigroup only shows how crooked and corrupt that organization is and how all of its products and services should probably be avoided like the plague.

Oh brother...Thanks Joe. Actually I tried to tell Joey last year when he was going to be in NH in days? , what a rip off Primerica was. I spent 15 years in the financial services industry, the last few as a retirement, and estate planning specialist. I often dealt with the Primerica crowd back then. Was called A. L. Williams then, started by a HS coach from GA. His deal, buy term invest difference, the financial industry was just a scam ripping you off. What he failed to tell you that the modified term he offered was the most expensive in the industry, and after 20 years the premium went so high that you were guarented to drop it. What he did tell you was anyone can do this, just come to one of our little cult meetings. Next you were told to go and sell the crap to all your friends and relatives. Once that ran out, you were told to recruit all your friend and relatives to work for the company, and once your recruited 8 people your became a vice-president, and made money on each of their sales to friends and relatives! Back then, perhaps...sweet jesus...15 years ago...A L Williams had the most agents in the business...and the average salary was $412. per year! Oh did I mention? The company got sold to Primerica right after the good coach, Art Williams landed in jail for securities fraud. That's a story unto itself, but really don't want to bore you with it!

Oh yea...while I'm thnking about it. If you're interested in financial services, I believe I know someone who could help. Thinking he is way too modest, and nice a guy to give himself a plug, so hey! Have known him for several years, know him to be a champion of freedom, know him to be a doer and not a talker, and while I have not dealt with him personally in the financial area, I trust him. Do know he has been in the financial service business for 20+ years, and do know, based on my experience, that you just don't last that long if you're not honest, and know what you are doing. So anyway, if you are looking for someone to help you find the best way to invest your hard earned money or to protect your loved ones, know my vote goes to Brian Sullivan! Expect you can find him easy off the FSP website....He is one of the folks doing stuff!

He is so active they named a NH county in his honor But doesn't that mean he has been in the money industry for 220 years BTW, everyone, Dave is in the housing industry

Primerica has a faulty business model. If you study their sales activities and make calculations based on the hit ratios and pay structure, you will find out that you cannot make money working under their system. You will need to approach a huge number of people to have a significant positive cash flow.

Thanks for the offer for your services, Joe, but I don't believe in insurance, annuities, and other paper shuffling schemes. It is based in fear, sells a false sense of "ok, we're gonna keep you safe and warm and happy". For a fee. For every moment you breathe. It's basic premise is "what if something awful happens....?". I say let it happen. It's going to anyway, and no amount of insurance will change it. Best success to you , though.

Insurance is there to help pay for things when accidents happen. I insure my car because something awful might happen. I insure my home in case something awful happens. I insure my wife's and my own life in case something awful happens. If I die, my wife won't have to rely on charity to keep a roof over her head.

Just a cautionary note, in response to the report of a concerned poster. Make certain you check out ALL entrepreneurial offers at www.BBB.org, and at least do some online research. An initial inquiry reveals 200 entries on Primerica there. There's more on the Internet: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=primerica+scamI have no opinion, and leave it up to individuals to do their own research and make their own decisions concerning MLM offers. This is just a reminder to look before you leap. Also, since this is more of an entrepreneurial issue, I'm going to redirect it to the appropriate category. Thanks. Lynn

Another reason that we ought to set up our own financial services/ credit union/ insurance outfit. Just being able to do business with people we know and trust is very important. I've got the thread going elsewhere, but keeping the money "in the family" is also reason enough to do this. Providing employment, training, insurance, employment to fall back on, a decent ROI, financial services, investment services, and potential tax savings.
