Well, I'm in a unique position. As a Jew (ethnically) and a Christian, (by religion) ... I am in a unique position to issue a pronouncement in behalf of TWO religions. Here goes:
JEWISH PRONOUNCEMENT:
In the name of Ha Shem, any Jew who initiates an act of violence, including taking his property, or voting for a pro-Zionist government, against a Muslim or a Christian shall be fined the equivalent of $100,000,000,000 and stoned to death in front of the temple mount.
CHRISTIAN PRONOUNCEMENT:
In the holy and righteous name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I humbly make the following pronouncement: Any Christian who initiates an act of violence, (including military action) against a Muslim or a Jew shall be forced to watch 1,000 hours of Pat Summerall and shall be summarily excommunicated from any and all Christian denominations and shall be publicly crucified, in the manner of our Lord, and thereafter condemned to the lowest pits of hell to enjoy sweet fellowship with Hitler, Stalin, and George Bush.
Hopefully these Jewish and Christian "fatwas", coupled with the new Islamic fatwa, will be sufficient to institute a permanent religious cease-fire.

Hopefully these Jewish and Christian "fatwas", coupled with the new Islamic fatwa, will be sufficient to institute a permanent religious cease-fire. According to Wikipedia: "Contrary to what is believed by non-Muslims, and even by the majority of Muslims, a fatwa is not binding on all persons professing the Muslim faith. The only ones who are obliged to obey any specific fatwa are the mufti who issued it and his followers." Their authority comes from the level of education, popularity, and moral respect earned by the mufti, not threats of punishment. Not to take the wind out of your joke, but I think its important to undermine misconceptions like these  |
