POSTING GUIDELINES and ADVICE FOR NEW MEMBERS

Here's a summary of what you guys need to know about Laser Tag on the 24th:

The place is The Strategy Zone: www.TheStrategyZone.com
In Goshen, NH, about an hour west of concord.
On highway 10, on the south side

Porcupines are on the schedule from 1p-430p. All you need to do is just show up at 1:00 and there will be games you can join regardless of Porcupine turnout.Â I understand there was talk of some folks getting together for lunch in Concord first but that is optional and will probably eat into your laser tag time.Â Â I'm sure carpooling will be possible if you can find others who are going.Â Â I can't be there myself but you won't need me. You may want to bring camo's but you can rent them there. I have told the strategy zone likely turnout will be around 10-15.Â If there are more than 20 they will keep teh field open late for ya!Â Â Otherwise closing around 445. Cost is only 5 bucks an hour while out gaming, while hanging out at base camp its free!

You'll be playing in a forest. Bring insect repellant.

General Directions:

From Manchester and points SE - I93N (Hooksett Tolls) to I89N.
Take Exit 9 (Route 103, Warner).
Right at end of Ramp (towards Newport)
Stay on Route 103 for approx. 20 miles.
(You will go through the towns of Warner,
Sutton, Bradford, Newbury).
In Newbury you will go straight through the traffic circle,
staying on Route 103.
(Sunapee Mountain will be on your left,
Sunapee State Beach on your right).
About 1 mile outside of the circle you will take a
Left onto Brook Road (One Mile West Restaurant on the corner)
will see signs for Route 10S, Goshen, Backside Inn,
and a yellow street sign saying Brook Road.
Brook Road is a very windy, bumpy road.
In approx 6 miles you will reach a "T" intersection
with a yellow blinking light.
Turn right onto Route 10.
We are approx. 1 mile from blinking light on the right.

From Upper Valley and poins North - I89S to Exit 13 (Grantham).
Right onto Route 10S. Follow for 15 miles.
We are on the Left.

From Keene and points South - Route 10 North.
We are on the Right. 1 mile from Goshen Store.

Can someone please give us an idea WHO from FSP is going to be attending this event?

1 maybe here. Will confer with the rest of the 'fam' and see what they want to do. I'm solo-parenting with the grandparents help (neither of whom will be interested in Laser Tag). Might pawn the kiddies off on them... errr... endulge their overwhelming urge to babysit... if someone else is interested in car pooling Wink

Sounds like fun. If there will be enough people to make it worthwhile, I'll definitely go.

I can take three or four others*, if anyone needs a ride.

*three with belts and comfortable. four if people want to try squeezing three in the back seat, and one person doesn't mind a lack of seat belt.

I just talked to Charles over at the Strategy Zone and the Porcupines are still on the schedule for 1pm...with a welcome twist...they have another group coming in at 430 pm so the field will be open late! Presumably until at least 6:30. that means even if there are 50 free staters everyone should get a chance to play.

Alternately , even if there is only ONE free stater, it will still be plenty of fun for that one person since people will be out there playing all afternoon regardless of porcupine turnout.

So as I say...all you really need to do is show up!

You can rent camos there at a reasonable price (they had about 20 pairs for rent last time I was there) but it's better to bring your own. and almost suicidal to play without them! this is more of a sniper game than paintball because of the 100 yard range...lots of sneaking around being quiet followed by short bursts of running.
