Please use this address then enter a nickname:

If this doesn't work, you can try signing in via http://freetalklive.com/chat/chat.php channel #FSP or with a standalone IRC client like Visual IRC.

You might try the software to which I linked. If you have trouble with that, please e-mail me at arick@freestateproject.org.

Or try http://mirc.com and get that software.

Also, whoever has access to the freestateproject.org zones can simply point chat.freestateproject.org to freestateproject.org/chat/.

Both sites work, it is your computer that has the issue.  Check to see that Java is installed.  If not, go get it.  You may need to re-install if you do have it, or this download may be an upgrade for you.

I really didn't want to make this so complicated that people can't get into the chat.  "Just go get it" is too complicated for a lot of non computer geeks.  I don't like the irc chat software.  It crashed my computer when I first tried to use it.

I think java works for most people.. maybe put up a poll, and see which chat people prefer.

Since the first five Chats seemed to work ok with the other software, why switch now?

The new chat system worked for me, but I think a few people had trouble. Do we know how many people had trouble this last time?

Where are we going to hold the chat next time?

BTW Michael I enjoyed your chat. Smiley
