If you or anyone else can get a mailing list, we’ll do the mailing.
We are looking for any or all of: Present VLP members Past VLP members Other pro-freedom group list
The list of past VLP members would probably be the most fruitful because they have given up on the traditional route.
The Vermont LP website seems to be dead. This mailing list is active...some of these people might help. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VT-Liberty/Here are the people who are supposedly in charge of the VTLP: http://www.lp.org/organization/VT/

According to the channel 31 piece on us today, the head Killington town selectman said that they "strongly support" our media campaign.... JM

Hardy should be able to provide the list for Vermont.

Don't we have a FSP VT mailing list? 33 people in it according to our state stats. I know if I got a flier in the mail for some local action in CA, I would consider it very seriously. Theres a good chance the VT registered Porcs may not all be looking at the website regularly, let alone this thread.
Hope this point wasn't already brought up and addressed... I didn't want to go through all 25 pages of the thread. :-P

I just heard from Hardy a few minutes ago. He'll likely be there.

Okay, the Killington Town Meeting is at 10 AM in the morning TOMORROW (Tuesday) NOT in the evening. We really need to mobilize for this.
NEW Plans: FSP mobilization point: McDonald's Parking lot, two blocks south on Rt 12A off Exit 20 on I-89. This is West Lebanon, right on the Connecticutt River.
Departure time: 8:15 AM. If you want to grab some breakfast in West Lebanon, plan on arriving earlier (1-2 hours). There is a Denny's, the McD's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Friendly's, all within a block of each other. The drive to Killington is about 50 minutes from W Lebanon, possibly more depending on the conditions of the roads.
Route: From West Lebanon, get on I-89 north, across the river into Vermont. Exit 2 in Vermont is the Queechee exit. Get off there and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 4. Follow Route 4 through Queechee, Woodstock, and Taftsville to Killington. You will go past the village of Sherburne Center and turn left onto West Hill Road. Drive straight on this, 0.4 miles, Turn LEFT to stay on W HILL RD. 0.2 miles, Turn LEFT onto KILLINGTON RD. 0.3 miles, Turn RIGHT onto SCHOOL HOUSE RD. <0.1 miles. Look for the Elementary School, park in the parking lot, and hunt up other FSP people.
WHAT TO BRING: If you have FSP brochures (we need these printed), pins, porcupines, banners, anything of that sort, or if you just want to bring a sign to voice your support. We are taking the position that we are supporting the towns choice, however it votes to go. PLEASE dress nicely, even professionally. NO CAMO or Militia type stuff (that will have it's place within a few months).

Mike Lorrey just called me...the Killington vote just passed by a landslide. He says the local and national media are swarming there. If you have access to a VCR, set it to tape the news now. I'm sure Mike will be back with all the details as soon as he can.

The results: http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showa.html?article=34014I love this quote: “I was born and raised a Vermonter, and I hope to always be,†said resident Julie Thomas, 38 Sounds like: "I was born and raised in my Master's house, and hope to always be his slave." The things that statists say never cease to amaze me.

I wouldn't say it's quite that analogous. It's a form of patriotism, there's not much intrinsically wrong with that.
